I Cried In A Movie!!!

It's amazing how different things effect different people...

It's kinda hard to start crying during "Pay It Forward," "Armageddon," and "Pearl Harbor" when you're too busy laughing at how awful they are. Seriously, I have no idea why these movies are so popular--poorly written, poorly acted, poorly filmed. But, hey different strokes, for different folks.

In fact, few movies have really got to me. "Big Fish" and "Field of Dreams" have come close. Recently, "Millions" struck quite a cord.

You cried? What a wuss!

Just kidding. I am dying to see this movie. Money is tight right now but it's on my list of things to buy. I know I'll love it, so I'm not even going to bother renting it first. I've heard so many good things!

I got kinda teary eyed watching "Fever Pitch" but that's mostly just seeing Boston and Fenway Park again having moved from there in October.

The one movie I can recall crying during is "An Extremely Goffy Movie." Din't ask... :lookaroun
However, I also cried reading "Tuesdays With Morrie" and, believe it or not, "There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom." Again, don't ask.

The movies I cried in...

The Passion of the Christ (Always gets to me, now I watch it every Good Friday)

Pay It Forward (GREAT movie)

Life is Beautiful (That was my first Holocaust movie, and I saw that when it came out in '99...left me crying like nuts)

Monster, Inc. (The ending was good and sad)

Deep Impact (The ending was sad, plus it was my first disaster movie and that was when I was 8 years old.)

The Pianist (It was sad, but it was mostly depressing)

and my 2 favorite drama movies:

Mystic River (The ending is a bit shocking, but is very sad how everything turns out)

House of Sand and Fog (It was very depressing, but sad and shocking at the end)

.......so don't be ashamed. I'm one of those guys who don't believe in that motto that believes that guys should be macho and shouldn't cry....that's a bunch of BS.....

Oh man....how embarrassing!

I really had no intention of ever seeing it.

Then the Oscars came and went.

For some reason, for lack of any other choices, last night I went to see it.

Was it the weather? My mood? The music? The theater ambience? The popcorn???

Whatever...there I was at the end of the thing crying like a baby!

FINDING NEVERLAND ......good flick!

:)

Same here. And Big Fish. I was

Definitely different strokes for different folks. Armageddon is one of my favorite movies. I don't pay attention to poorly acted, poorly this except on a few occasions. The movie cracked me up (Steve Buscemi :D) and the effects were nice...to me. I cried when Harry sacrificed himself and even more when he was talking to Grace and in the final moments of his life. This is just me though. People will have their things to laugh at, cry at, whatever...and for whatever reason ::shrugs::

ahh ive only ever creid at 2 movies and aemageddon was one, im not a big fan of the movie and slept through most it untill the end and when that happeneed i felt like come on you cant kill john, ever from ive seen that i hate ben affleck. also as a kid the land before time made me cry.

Huh? :veryconfu

Who's John?

Oh and to add to my list, Deep Impact made me cry.

I forgot about The Green Mile. I kept hoping they would let him live everytime I watched the movie..same with Danny in Pearl Harbor  . Another one that makes me cry is the Sixth Sense. The end where he finds out he's been dead the whole time  Hope I didn't spoil the movie for anybody who hasn't seen it........ :lookaroun

I bawled like a baby during "My Dog Skip." If you own a pet, it will move you to tears. Such a tear jerker! Frankie Muniz is a great actor.

Finding Neverland didn't make me cry, but it was a FANTASTIC movie. Really well done.

Pay it forward didn't make me cry, but it just made me feel very depressed. It was a good movie, but the ending didn't leave me feeling good.

I swear, when Little Foot's mom dies in "The Land Before Time" I can't help but cry. Every time I watch it I cry. With the sad music, Little Foot standing beside his dying mother, I burst into tears.

Bambi really works me up also. "Mother?" nuff said.
