Thanks, i've read those pages, quite helpfull.

Few questions ...

Is there a dye in the water if someone urinates? There are public pools that employ this system.

If feacal matter or someone elses urination was to 'contaminate' you, what would be the worst case scenario to your health?

I've read the Florida state requirments, but it doesn't allude to the amounts of chlorine needed for hundreds, if not over a thousand in a pool at the same time.

And in that case, with the sheer amount of Chlorine needed, is THAT safe ?

Come on man. They just adjust based on the pool size/expected number of people. It doesnt take a genius to understand these things. It just takes common sense and logic. I dont understand why it is so hard for you to get. They conform to those standards set forth by the CDC and then some. If they didnt, you could be sure that would be discovered, like the article you quoted... it wasnt properly chlorinated and people got sick. You'd be hearing about it the same freaking way if Disney wasnt properly using the right chemicals in the right amounts. But guess what? You haven't and don't because they properly conform to those standards. It isn't hard to understand.

What is your deal? I think you are just trolling at this point. And yeah, what @unkadug said... It's clearly a huge issue for you even though it is pretty much a non issue for everyone else. So don't go.

Okay so what if the sheer amount of people exceeds their expectations for that day ... would feces matter and urination be a concern in that case?

I just have to share. When we were staying at the AOA and swimming in the Big Blue the pool attendant was trying to get everyones attention but with all the music, people, and surrounding noise not a word could be heard. Finally they shut off the music and everyone seemed to be at a standstill not moving. Then someone yelled out, "IT'S A FLOATER!!!!" Within seconds the entire pool cleared out with panicking people exiting in all directions. Lol, it was pretty funny to see.

(FYI, I dont know if their actually was a floater in the pool or if someone had only urinated but they had the pool closed for about one hour before it was cleared for re-entry)

I think all you have to really know is that they keep the levels of sanitation for what the amount of people they have at the park. No matter what pool you go to there is always the risk of getting sick, but not likely. You will be fine at te Disney pools and if you are still so iffy, then don't go in! Lol

No. Because they keep track of the people who enter the park each day. And I'm guessing they "over-chlorinate" anyways so it doesn't really matter. There is a max amount they will let in. It's called capacity. Yeesh. Like I said, it really isn't that hard to understand.

They know what they need to do to keep anyone from getting sick... You aren't hearing amount mass sickness from any of the Disney water parks are you? Yeah, I thought not...

So what happened, did they empy the water and load fresh water into that area, or did they simply fish net the floater out, and add more chlorine ? And did people go straight back in the pool, and immerse themselves full into the water, even their faces?

Yes people did! Full to their faces! They dunked themselves in that water! Full. To. There. Faces. And guess what? They lived! Because Disney does proper pool maintenance! Oh the wonder of it all!
