Reposting again.... My infamous Hurricane Charley video

I remember seeing one video of one hurricane that hit Magic Kingdom while they were running the "Share A Come True Parade" and the floats were moving extremely fast. I can't find the video now though.

No, that $12.99 w/out drink. Oni posted she had a chat with a manager and got refunded. In 2004, they didnt pull that crap.

Good for her. If those were $5 it would be a different story. Can you imagine a family of 4 spending $50 for that? Eight pieces of bread, four cookies and what looks to resemble four apples, and four small bags of pretzels? When all is said and done, somemeone needs to be fired over that one.

It would be easier in the long run for them to just give it out and write it off as a tax loss.

Thinking of all those in Florida, and especially Disney World. I know how much time and thought went into planning my own Disney trip, and I cant help but feel sympathy for all those who have to deal with nature on their vacation. I know that there are far bigger problems in the world, and that the hurricane will affect a whole lot more people than those on a Disney vacation, but still, my heart breaks for those there. Stay safe everyone, stay safe Disney.

After Hurricane Sandy in NJ, and living for 10 days without power, I can only imagine what a hurricane in Florida would be like. Thinking of all my fellow Disney lovers :inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:

Gotta love Tommy Boy aka Mr. Clickbait walking around the MK on periscope this am with the title of his video "Walking through the Magic Kingdom during Hurricane Matthew." Meanwhile, in the video it's mostly sunny and 99% of the guests were wearing shorts. Do us a favor Tom, walk out there when the real rain and hurricane force winds hit.
Who's Tommy?

People could have ordered from Garden Grocer, they could have ordered pizza delivery from Pizza Hut etc, or they could have taken an uber or drove out of WDW...or they could have stocked up on things from the quick service restaurants and mini grocers in the resorts earlier.

At some point people must be responsible for their own actions. I'm not criticizing the ones who did not leave property..but you can't exactly criticize Disney for providing an option to them..and charging a price for it.

A ridiculous gouging price.

You are missing scope here. Are tens of thousands of guests going to all have ubers coming? Is pizza hutt even delivering in this hurricane?

Come on. There is a line here. As I said, if that was $5 it would have been one thing - but $13 for that and you don't even get a bottle of water?

Particularly given that most of these people are going to have lost admission days they will never use now, Disney trying to make profit on those pathetic boxes is going to haunt them.

I don't see how anyone can defend the optics on this one.

I think $13 for what I've seen pictured, given the circumstances is a bit steep.

They better be amazing and worth staying for!

Just got off the phone with her. She is basically laughing at me. Her words "I'm laying on my sofa, in the AC, watching cable, and eating cookies. The only thing that is driving me crazy about this storm is you, Rick Scott, and the stupid news channels. We're fine."

There has not been a hurricane in Orlando yet.
I wouldn't want to pay for that box.. But I would have just purchased something else.

Are all of the counter service restaurants closed now? What time did they close?

I'm sure people had other options and that's a last resort.
