I’m not sure which hurricane that was, but it wasn’t Irma or Dorian. We were at Coronado for both, and were not required to go to the Convention Centre.A number of years ago all guests at Coronado pre hurricane had to mandatory evac from their rooms and guests slept on the carpeted areas of the huge convention center.
Refund for the Halloween party?I think they refund those for a hurricane though. Definitely try for a refund
We’re going to miss you by a couple of days. We arrive Sunday.I have a new issue. It’s my return home. This thing makes landfall on Fri. Yes, I know bands arrive first and landfall is defined as the eye crossing land. I check out on Saturday. I’ll cross that bridge then.
lol…they havre zero threat of flood
Ina Hurricane yes. Usually they offer for a reschedule but can be flexible. I would certainly try. Also your hotel may also be refundable. Is it on Disney property? And did you use a travel agent?Refund for the Halloween party?

During Irma, we were ordered to stay in our room from 7:00 pm (maybe 10:00, I’d have to check my TR), until 1:00 pm the following day.
After we were allowed to leave our room, we had a hot lunch mid-day at Pepper Market, and then went swimming. Parks re-opened the following day.
Dorian was nothing. Parks closed early-ish.
Since I’m in St. Petersburg, I’m going to track down Cantore and tell him to go elsewhere. In another non scientific bad sign for Tampa, Jim Cantore has been spotted in Clearwater Beach.
Yes I’m staying a pop century and the travel agent that I used to book it was my self I’m a subcontractor through AAA… So that’s why I was asking because I had never heard of refunds for any type of Issues with stormsIna Hurricane yes. Wind wise yes, rain wise no. This thing is going to be a massive soaker wherever it goes. What has this quickly falling apart when it makes landfall? Good news I guess for those up the east coast as it shouldn’t make it to far.
My Dad used to volunteer with Red Cross, he would be proud of you. We have a lot of the same here in CA but slightly different in case The Big One hits. Had the gas guy come out and show us EXACTLY how to turn off the gas to the house, we never go to sleep at night without a pair of good shoes right by the bedside, have a crowbar handy too (in case need to get in or out), etc. Many of the same things as you But slightly different given different result from earthquake. The house has made it through a 7.1 already but an 8 would be pretty nasty.I am always ready except for extra gas for the generator, and perishable items, such as fruit and dairy. Along with snacks and more adult beverages, plus some soft drinks.
I have stores of cat food, litter, batteries, etc. Being without power for a week after a hurricane made me take stocking emergency supplies more seriously - including buying a generator. But since it uses gas, I have battery powered items for personal comfort - such as fans, lights, radios, TV (I can pick up JAX 4 just fine) ,etc to lessen the load, and reserve the generator for the refrigerator and nighttime A/C & fan use.
I have MNSSHP tonight then taking it day by day from there. Will be an interesting week. Please do like I said I think I’m just gonna ride it out and try to get down there on Wednesday flying from Jersey… Let us know hope to see you there

In the smoking cabanas?Unless you are in Tomorrowland.
If it goes as a rain soaker to NC, I-95 rural Lumberton NC close to the SC border is notorious for flooding and closing this critical main roadway and flooding this very poor and small town.Wind wise yes, rain wise no. This thing is going to be a massive soaker wherever it goes.
