Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

Not sure if this is the right thread for this any longer but we cancelled our trip and Disney is telling me my unused MNSSHP tickets will just go dormant in my account and I can use them for a party next year. Has anyone else received that same info? It conflicts with info other posters in this thread have received.

You might need to call Disney and see if they can give you a refund on the party. Others have said that they've had to actually call Disney to get that process started. Otherwise they go dormant by default.

Part of the tape got caught in the 8-Track Player, but they fixed it.

The tree houses and campground are still closed along with a few rides so maybe just leave it here for info on those
I think there is an option of water transportation if that's running to get to the park. One can pass the tree houses or at least see what's left of it, post Ian.

Hopefully Fort Wilderness is up and running shortly . When one drives through the RV loops Dec Jan a number of RVs are decked out aka DHS NY Street Osbourne Christmas lights galore and it is a sight to see.

There are several reports of people with reservations being told Thursday is the earliest date that they expect it to be able to open.

As far as I know, 95 here in NC made it through okay. Inland flooding didn't impact the area as much this time (thankfully), so you should be good to go by the start of November.

75 is now open as well. My guess is that all major roadways will be open by then.

US 41 in Port Charlotte maybe not but it’s so not 100% certain why it’s shut down. For sure because of the crane and Sunseekers resort disaster, but there’s reports the northbound lane of the bridge is actually out in that spot but nobody has seemed to confirm that. But that’s really far from Orlando and wouldn’t affect the drive of the poster who asked.

FDOT is good about keeping the major infrastructure status up to date. Might not capture all the localized neighborhood flooding.

This is the resource everyone’s been using to get home to where the eye hit. Good resource!
