Seeing lots of people on social media virtue-signaling about the parks opening "too soon."

- The vast majority of the Orlando area sustained minor damage, if any.
- The media is highlighting a handful of flooded areas, this does not reflect the area as a whole.
- Employees are NOT being forced to go in.
- The only reason Disney opened before the other is their parks didn't flood.

I hope people don't take this the wrong way, but Disney is big business and they are critical economic infrastructure. One of the best things the private sector can do to support the local population is keep paychecks flowing for those who want/need them.

Why are you giving reasons when nobody is really asking?
Seems unnecessary.

Disney closes for a hurricane…they clean up, and reopen…nothing different here.

I think this is true for most of the state, the news keeps showing the pier area of Fort Myers Beach and the areas that flooded but thankfully thats the exception, not the norm, if someone was just watching the national news they may get the wrong impression everywhere looks like that.

I’ve found vloggers much more informative than the news because they’re showing the areas they live so it’s a much wider broader view of the state, not just the few areas most devastated by the storm. I’ve seen blogs from Tampa, Bradenton, Venice, Orlando, Clermont, Celebration… tons of trees down, some minor flooding, shingles and fences gone, etc but nothing like the horror near Fort Myers beach.

There’s a ton of damage all over the state but it’s not the entire state.

Because it's all over social media and a lot of employees (some of which are likely reading this) are whining about "their safety" being compromised (when the most that happened to most of them is they have some tree debris in their yard).
