Success at DHS for party tickets tonight. Excited because my last party was essentially rained out!

For those wondering it was $129 plus tax with the AP discount. Came to $137ish.
Awesome. I think tonight was the last night that had any type of discount available for AP/DVC. None in Oct.

The line to enter DHS was incredibly long and slow moving so I decided to take a ride on the skyliner to see if there was any noticeable damage anywhere visible from the sky. Other than some random puddles of standing water in a few spots, I didn’t see anything. Either they got lucky or the cleaning crews moved very efficiently through here yesterday.
I think it's a combination of both. And also the vast majority of WDW has been through rougher weather before and survived.

I'm surprised you are not able to get a refund. In August 2021, we were able to get our tickets refunded after they canceled the party. They initially offered a one day ticket, which we couldn't use. I don't know if it was because I went through an agent?

Even so, you get an advantage over everyone else. And if you are at the front of that line you might get two rides.

But also, whether just one or two, you get the knock-on effect for the rest of your day. Touring Plans have done extensive analysis into that in particular, and the saved time for an identical set of rides comparing using early entry vs not can be quite staggering.
I don't know why you're so determined but I really don't have to explain myself to you. Being at the front of a line at the Epcot entrance doesn't necessarily mean you'll be in the front at Rat in WS. Everyone has different walking speeds.

You picked wrong, from main gate I would have done frozen, single rider TT and Soarin. Would have done my “one long wait of the day” for Rat later.

Sorry to interrupt your touring park strategy discussion,...

Looks like some power is getting restored where landfall hit. Some areas are estimated to be without power for weeks or months though.

They’re refunding if you ask. However they’re also happy to move it to another type of ticket.

Standard practice to try and retain a customer rather than lose the monetary value.
Yeah usually WDW allows the value of any unused expired tickets toward new tickets. That’s the minimum.

In certain circumstances they will refund instead of credit. Like hurricane or serious personal issues.

I’d give it a couple days to see if tickets get a message in MDE. The website already states the hurricane policy as refunding within 7 days of a storm for tickets purchased through them. 3rd party might just be the standard credit for unused expired ticket.

Wow that's bananas. I'm an AP, what am I supposed to do with that? I understand they're non refundable but this is an act of God situation.

Indeed.

1. They're refunding if you ask.

2. They'll be happy to subsume the cost into a new type of ticket. If you're an AP, you can ask if that ticket price can be subsumed into the purchase of some future special event, like the Holiday Party or AHs.

3. Double check to make sure it's not transferable. When one buys a new ticket, it can be tranferred to someone in your party. This *might* be the same here and you can gift it to a friend/family member.
