Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

I mean, I can’t argue with you there. I don’t get why they renamed it to Bayou Country and then readded the Country Bears- if anything the name change feels like Pooh is on his way out. Critter Country pre-Pooh was objectively the best that area has ever been themed. Man, I wish I could’ve experienced it.
I wish I got to experience it as well. Unfortunately I wasn't even a year old when it changed, and I wouldn't even make it out to Disneyland for another 13 years. Oh well. Glad I got to experience Critter Country at all.

This actually ruined my night. Why would they call it the Country Bear’s best hits if they were going to use mostly non-bear music?

Like they have three other shows to pull from (granted ones a Christmas show), cut songs from shows, and hell they could easily record new songs or covers with the VAs. I’d say this is the laziest way they could’ve done this, but licensing songs from other artists is more effort than using the bear songs THEY OWN. Mind boggling.

I never even got to experience Critter Country, sadly. It was always my top thing to do if I ever got to Disneyland, since the atmosphere seemed right up my alley- cartoon animals in a nation park inspired setting. Oh well.

They couldn't even use the original versions of the songs covered in the other shows?

To be fair the Country Bears do at least geographically fit the whole Southern theme of Bayou Country. It could definitely work with more theming to make it fit. Even Splash could hypothetically work with that theme. It's really only Pooh that clashes with the theming of both lands, both the Pacific Northwest style of CC and the Southern style of BC.
Can we bring back the CBJ to Disneyland and replace Pooh??

To be fair, they did hype it up as "the Country Bear's greatest hits", so when they deliver the exact opposite, people are going to be disappointed. If they said nothing at all or even "it's just music the bears enjoy" no one would be upset
I mean, some of us would still be disappointed they didn’t include any of the CBJ classics, but we wouldn’t be this disappointed. Your earlier post summarized my feelings exactly — instead of showcasing musical treasures they already own, they went out to find different music and paid for the rights to use it.

They didn't even include the new original intro. I liked the old one better, but why?
