Thanks for all the nice welcome backs. Looks like we're having a huggles thread renaissance today.

I'm even thinking of posting in general discussion and news and rumours since having just come back from a big WDW trip I noticed a few things and have a few thoughts of my own. Things can get a bit contentious up there, so I have to be in the right frame of mind.

One of the odd disappointments I have from dropping off of the boards for about half a year is that I thought it would be cool if I could meet some people from the boards during my January trip. C'est la vie. I was even prepared to offer a large sum of money to some random poster from wdwmagic. I would have the person act like a completely insane Disney fanatic in front of my wife and then I would go - "See - I'm not that bad! So and so is completely crazy."

I go to Disneyland in 2 weeks. This is the second time DL has stolen a trip from WDW. DL is really devious.

A bit curious how this happens. I have been to both DLR and WDW and despite their obvious differences there are many things I love about both. Since I live in Indiana it would be inconvenient if I was planning on going to Calif. or Fla. and suddenly have one resort spring up and swap vacations on me!

My husband George would have done it in a heartbeat!

I was going to take my friend in Cali to WDW but she couldn't get the time off to go, so I'm visiting her in DL instead.

Too bad. You'll still have a great time. The unfortunate thing is that it sounds like you'll have a bit shorter of a vacation (based on the fact that she couldn't get time off).

Making a caramel apple tartlet (courtesy of the Omaha Steak Company). Will bury it in vanilla ice cream and revel in the fact the kids are in bed. Soon the wife will be home and we'll make plans on how we'll survive the 14" of friggin' snow they're projecting for our little part of Indiana.

I hope that everyone who has been hammered by the winter storm is staying safe and keeping warm. Really, I should have never left Florida. At least 5 hours of snow shoveling qualifies as my work out for the next couple of days.
