Wow, was this thread buried! I just wanted to give a fly-by Hi to everyone with a quick update of life.
Life's all right. I slipped just below the minimum GPA requirement for my major, so I have to take "GPA boosting" courses this semester to make up for it.
Kerry and I are doing really well. We had our 1-year anniversary yesterday, and went to a really nice Japanese restaurant for dinner. We watched Monk and Psych, then went to bed. He'd driven 6 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh back home yesterday, so he was out like a light in a matter of minutes. I've had insomnia lately, so I was out like a light, too.
This morning, he woke me up saying "breakfast is ready." I thought "...he snuck out of bed without me waking up? Strange...I must've been really tired..." and turned to him to say "Okay, be there in a second." Except that he had a breakfast tray set up so I could have breakfast in bed!
The long and the short of it is that we're doing much better since the problems that we'd had earlier in the school year, and it's almost (not completely!) like how everything was a year ago.
My brother and his girlfriend are having a ton of arguments (when don't they?) but I don't see them breaking up any time soon (darn!). Mom and dad are doing well- my mom may have to have the same exact knee surgery I've had. It's not major, so I'm not terribly concerned. I was walking the day after my second surgery!
So that's life. Your best bet these days, if you want to get in touch with me, is to send me a private message or to send me a message on AIM.

I thought I would post an update as well. I was coming to wdwmagic regularly from approximately Jan-July of 2006. Then a friend of mine died. He was only 40 and we were very close. We all cope with things like this differently and I found that I became a bit anti-social both in the real and virtual world. Unfortunate on my part, since I was becoming part of WDWmagic community (albeit a small part) and had made friends with some very nice people (safari giraffe, tigsmom. figmentmom, merhearted,etc.) were just a few people I had exchanged comments etc. with. I even had fun futzing around with the younger set from time to time (getting myself banned from Wafflefest and taking part in the odd PROM thing which I'm apparently too old for since I never fully understood what was going to happen in the online prom). Now, I'm back to my normal self and feel a bit awkward about re-entering the online community. Not too awkward since I don't have thousands and thousands of posts and odds are no one took much notice that I wasn't hanging around too much anymore.
I should say that I just came back from and end of January WDW trip and that it was a lot of fun and was one of the key things in getting back to my normal self. Anyhoo, I'll throw a *huggles* out to everyone and make the same observation that robynchic made -"this thread was buried." Does no one post here anymore?

I go to Disneyland in 2 weeks. This is the second time DL has stolen a trip from WDW. DL is really devious. :lol:
