I was in a car accident yesterday. I am fine and my DS is okay also. We were rear ended. The other persons car was totaled but I was in a pick-up truck and just jammed my finger and my back a little bit. My truck is bumped up alittle maily just the bumper and some of the tail gate. What is bad is the finger that got hurt is my right index and now it is tough doing anything since I am right handed.

Thank god it wasn't something more serious.

Hi guys,

Well, I'm in Miami too. It's pretty bad down here, no gas, no power, no ice, hardly any water, and DH is a police officer so he is working 12 hour shifts. The hurricane itself was pretty bad, VERY scary! But the aftermath is that much worse.

Luckily, Miami Beach has power so we got a room here and we are OK. But to add insult to injury, my trip is supposed to start on Saturday but Fort Lauderdale aiport is STILL closed! So, if they are closed on Saturday I can't go because you can only buy $20 worth of gas at a time after waiting 3-4 hours at least so I can't find enough gas to get to Disney.

Fort Lauderdale airport is supposed to open tomorrow, we'll see. If they do, I'm almost home free. I just have to hope and pray that DH still gets his time off as was previously scheduled to take our trip since practically everything has been paid for already. I hope so, I'm pretty confident that power will be back on when we get back from our trip so it's kind of perfect timing.

Hope everyone else is OK. I know MsTinkerBell lives in Fort Lauderdale and they were hit pretty hard.

I'll try to stay in touch. Luckily, my hotel lobby has wireless service and I have my laptop so I am all set!:D

Take care everyone!

I am happy to report that I passed my EKG interpretation course with flying colors! I had to take a 100 question test that lasted 2 hours (30 of the questions were fill-in-the-blank). I have been studying for the past 3 weeks for it.:sohappy:

NEXT: ACLS where I have to successfully run a "mock" code depending on what rhythm the patient is in. The hard part is that they change the rhythm depending on what medication you administer and you have to adjust quickly to your next move. SCARY!!!!! I'm glad it is in January!

And NO it is not on a real person..........it a simulator.

Congratulations on the EKG test. I did well on that one myself.

ACLS is a rough one. My DH just renewed on PALS.
