Don't loose heart, Vince! It just means that something better is out there and they just haven't found you yet. I had the same problem several years ago. Kept getting turned down by companies I was really excited to work for. I finally got a job and thought that it would be my "get some experience but keep looking for something better" job. Ended up that I am still here 9 years later and have no intention of going anywhere. I'm happy and comfortable here. And I've heard AWFUL things about the companies I got turned down by! It ended up being a blessing in disguise. So keep the faith and don't worry! *huggles*

Alright, I guess I need some huggles now. I heard back from the company I interviewed with on Friday. Let's just say they "wished me well on future endeavers". :(

I dunno what to feel right now. I guess I'm bummed, I dunno. It's just I thought I did really well. I did my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Though right now, I think my confidence is shot. I don't know how I'll go into the remaining interviews I have now. :(

*huggles* I'm sorry. :( Keep your head up - you've got more coming, and one of those might just be perfect for you. :)

Huggles to you and your job hunt. It will get better. Like Speck said, practice, practice and practice interviewing even jobs you not that interested in. One of two things will happen, 1) make you better prepared for the jobs you like 2) find out a jobs you thought you didn't like you end up liking

Vince, I just applied for a promotion and I didn't get it, and even though I was bummed, I just tried to remember that there's a time and a place for everyone and maybe I didn't get this one because a better one is going to come along. Jobs (and men, haha) are like busses...if you miss the first one, another one will pull up right behind it. If your best wasn't good enough for them then they aren't the ones for you. Keep looking, something great will come along soon!!
Huggles to you and catching the bus ride of your dreams

*huggles* Not much more I can say that hasn't been said already. Its their loss. I think speck has the right idea, practice & find out what they are looking for.

Jill, you've got the right attitude; that great job is waiting for you...timing is everything.

Thanks! Antibacterial huggles to you too!

I will need documented proof that you've been good this year before I can bring you anything. No offense! It's just that I don't have Santa's magical powers to know if you've been bad or good. So! I will need 3 letters of recommendation from friends and/or family explaining in detail a good deed that you did this year. ;)

Really, I have been good (lets not count my weekend in Vegas :lookaroun ).

Ooh, I have proof...Disneland's Haunted Mansion Holiday, in the attic on santa's list of good boys and girls my name is on it. :D (I just don't have the picture)

*huggles*

Been there and done that. After I was laid off I went on countless amounts of interviews, but after each one (and each no) I learned something new to take with me on my next interview. I now have a job that's close to home and enjoy doing. Take this as a learning experience.

Another huggle *huggle*

We've all been there at one time or another, Vince. Chalk it up to experience, and sail into your next interview with your head held high. You've got lots to offer, and it is indeed their loss if they don't see that.

We love you, fishy - now go out there and get 'em!

Unless you are at Animal Kingdom waiting for a bus going to Pop or the All-Stars... and your soaking wet from the pouring rain... Then um.. NO... Just NO... Your just pretty much plain screwed at that point (as I found out the hard way). :p

Sorry to Hear that Phishy and Jill... Good things will come for the both of you soon :)

Thanks all. I have another one this Thursday. My first two interviews were for jobs I really wanted. I lost the other one, I gotta try hard for this one.

You now have an idea what questions will be asked, so you can prepare yourself for the thursday interview. Just don't forget to take it easy, Vince.
I'll cross my fingers for you on Thursday. :)

Tuesday morning huggles to all!

At our house, we have a case of the brand-new-kitten-jealousies - Reba (the dog) thinks Caroline the kitten is a new toy that moves, but Tallulah (our 6-year-old cat) just HATES her.

Can you say 2 a.m. hissfest?

(...things could always be worse...at least everyone who's supposed to is using the litter box...) :lookaroun
