Hey Vince, how was Jeopardy? :D

OMG! It was soooo much fun. It was for my Software Engineering class. We took the midterm last week. Apparently, the majority of the class did really bad. In fact, only two kids got a good score. I was one of them, actually, I had the highest score. :) Anyways, the professor thought he should give out some kind of extra credit. So today, he put us all into 3 teams and pitted us against each other in a game of Jeopardy. Each team would get points but the winner would get the most. I didn't really care about the points since I did well, but being the competitive person that I am, I wanted the satisfaction of winning! I was put into Red team. It was soooo funny, all the yelling and gamesmanship going on. By the time Final Jeopardy rolled around, my team was in second place. The third place team got the question right, but they still didn't have enough points to move past us. We got the question right but we didn't bet enough points to move to 1st place. Then it was time for the team in first, they got the question wrong. I was jumping up and down screaming "How much?! How much?!" They wagered too many points and dropped to 2nd. We won! We were all jumping around, high-fiving each other. It was sooo fun! :D :sohappy:

I have to give mad props to whatever force/deity controls weather here in SoCal. After the driest summer on record in San Diego, we have now officially had the wettest October on record. Today alone, from midnight to now (1 pm) we've had almost 2.5" of rain. There's a whole area near campus that's completely flooded out by the quickly-rising San Diego River.

The funnest part? This comes on the one-year anniversary of the huge San Diego wildfires last October. What a difference this year... we'll all drown instead of burn.

And two funnel clouds up in Malibu. Sheesh!

Had fun with the rain here. Discovered the drain that is fed by water from the roof and my kitchen was blocked when it started to seep through the front door.

I've pulled the carpet up - thanfully only a small square and spent some with my arm all the way down this blocked muck filled hole, pulling out all manner of fowl smelling gunk.

I've got a few grazes to show for it, but the water is draining away freely :D

I was thinking the exact same thing!
Last year on this day I was allowed back home from the evacuation...and today we are dealing with mudslides. It stopped raining and it looks so beautiful and I see snow on the mountains. I want to drive up there so bad right now...maybe tomorrow.

I have friends vacationing here and they're mad at me because I insisted they come in October because that's when we have the nicest weather...hehehe Now they're stuck in doors

Here in San Antiono we don't see snow. We might get a flurry if lucky but not very often we haven't had real snow on the ground since 1985 -13 inches.

Happy pre-friday-DL-ddaay huggles!!

Most of our flooding went way down today, only a few roads left closed.

Aaaaaannd, I FINALLY got my Invert Phys midterm back... I DIDN'T FAIL! :sohappy: I got a 74%, so assuming she grades on a standard scale, I've got a C!! I need a minimum C- for the class to count towards my upper-div major classes, so I just got hang on!
