Yeah, I'm sick with this awful cold too. Beginning week #2 of it.

On the upside, I leave for WDW 1 week from today!!! :sohappy: This will be my whirlwind 2 night trip. I had a free airline ticket I had to use by the end of this year. So, me, myself, and I are going down to do some holiday shopping at Downtown Disney and some park-hopping all on my own terms. :sohappy:

I just hope this cold is better by then!

I will need documented proof that you've been good this year before I can bring you anything. No offense! It's just that I don't have Santa's magical powers to know if you've been bad or good. So! I will need 3 letters of recommendation from friends and/or family explaining in detail a good deed that you did this year.

And Mad doesn't get ANYTHING because she's roasting poor Vince. I think Santa will be very disappointed in you!

See above for holiday gift requirements. Again.. no offense! Sorry, Fishy. Everyone has to follow the same rules. Until I get Santa's powers, I must resort to more primitive ways of determining everyone's goodness or badness.

Alright, I guess I need some huggles now. I heard back from the company I interviewed with on Friday. Let's just say they "wished me well on future endeavers".

I dunno what to feel right now. I guess I'm bummed, I dunno. It's just I thought I did really well. I did my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Though right now, I think my confidence is shot. I don't know how I'll go into the remaining interviews I have now.

You should try interviewing for some jobs that you don't really want before you interview for jobs that you do want....this way, you can get a better idea of the questions that they will ask, so you can better prepare for the interview.

Huggles to you. Been there done that. It's a rare thing to get the job on the first interview. Go to the remaining interviews being yourself, giving it your all.

One of the interviews I went for after I was laid off went superbly. I got on really well with the man who would be my new boss and the members of his team. I was asked back for a second interview to meet the HR manager and whilst waiting to see her was told by people in the team that it was a formality as eveyone in the team wanted me to join them.

I only found out that I was not given the job when I saw it re-advertised.

In the end I got a job with with fewer hours, more holiday and better pay. So it all worked out.

So try not to worry about not getting the job, it's their loss not yours.

Vince, I just applied for a promotion and I didn't get it, and even though I was bummed, I just tried to remember that there's a time and a place for everyone and maybe I didn't get this one because a better one is going to come along. Jobs (and men, haha) are like busses...if you miss the first one, another one will pull up right behind it. If your best wasn't good enough for them then they aren't the ones for you. Keep looking, something great will come along soon!! :wave:
