And tomorrow, we all get to go in and scrub the cooties out of the room.

Actually, my lead called me a little while ago to tell me to bring a change of clothes to work tomorrow, and she said they think they're bird mites, cause we found a dead bird just outside that room the other day. Still gross. :p

A dead bird? Do you guys have West Nile Virus out there? Better check.

Huggles to me!

As of today, I am officially smoke-free. I have finished the 10 week Nicoderm CQ patch program, and, besides being a little heavier :lookaroun , I feel great!

:sohappy:

:sohappy: Congratulations, you do deserve a hug for being smoke free!!

I know it's really hard because for some time my dad has been trying to quit smoking. He's tried Nicoderm, but it didn't work for him. Currently, he's replaced cigarettes for cigars. It has helped tremendously. Now he is smoking 2 cigars a day instead a pak in half of cigarettes.
Here's a hug for staying smoke free. :)

Kirsten,

Tigsmom is right, it could be West Nile Virus since it's now in Southern California. A month ago, we found 2 dead birds in my yard. Cause of death: West Nile Virus. Just last week a man in my town died of West Nile Virus. Pretty scary.

Take care Kirsten.

Yup, actually, that's why the bird was still there. We called it in when we found it, and they said to leave it until they could come look at it because they suspected it was West Nile. And sometime, while it sat there, it spread bird mites into our breakroom. :brick:

Need Huggles... Caddy got damaged last night...

I was pulling into the driveway... then I swung the car onto the back patio like I do most of the time... and the car nicked some lumber that I did not know was there (it was dark out) (& the owner of the house put it there)... so... it fell onto the car... Its got scratches from the front of the rear passenger door all the way to the tailight. I buffed a lot of it out last night... but there are some deeper scratches I will need to work on later. *sigh* Its not as bad looking as it was last night.. but I STILL can see them!

You should do what I do - drive an old car that is ready scratched. That way you don't have to worry about such problems

Huggles for your scratched car  .

Did that for many years.... I like something with a warranty now. So that way I am not spending a small fortune on maintenance and repairs ;)

We played cootie cleaaning today at work, and it will be played again tomorrow. :P We got a nice long message left on the answering machine by the Department of Agriculture about how they just brought in 60 sick pelicans to the park for treatment, and they all had bird mites... and we said "WE KNOW." :p But bug man last night did not do a good job spraying, so there were bgs left today... so we got to take ALL the clothes, costumes, etc. out of the dressing rooms (all of them, even the ones where we hadn't seen mites, just in case they had accidentally been brought elsewhere)... and then we took them all to a public laundromat to wash them. But we got to go to Souplantation for lunch, so life is good! And they made us change before we left work, so they could take our possibly contaminated clothes and wash them. :p

Bird mites + zoological park = extreme steps to contain them
