Yes that is logical, in 2010 they did:-
  • TA USA to Barcelona.
  • Some Med cruises.
  • A repo Barcelona to Dover.
  • Four 12 night Baltic cruises, or Northern capitals cruises.
  • These were June and July.
  • Repo back at end of July Dover to Barcelona
  • More Med cruises.

But based on rumours it seems it might be slightly different.

  • Seven night Baltic cruises from Copenhagen.
  • If true then longer repos from Barcelona maybe via Amsterdam

With some port bookings now to be seen for the magic, only at the end of August, maybe there staying in the Baltic area longer, coming back for say a 14 night repo in early August,

Now departure from or via UK is still feasible.

I wish to underline these are rumours and anything can change until they make an official announcement.

I think we have a varied 2015 coming up going to more ports than before I think there's going to be a few surprises.

Thanks!! I realize they realize this is all speculation just trying to stay on top of these cruise as this is what I would love to change my dummy cruise for.

I have a gut feeling we have a DCL surprise coming up soon, Disney is very good at PR, it's getting ' some' bad press in some areas re the Magic, and when their backs are against the wall they do come out fighting.

One way is to get the Internet buzzing, is to announce some good news, then the Magics woes will be quickly forgotten..

They can't advertise Magic well until it's minor issues are all corrected.

Let's see, so Mr Scott let's go to Amber alert. Because as soon as it's safe they will do something PR wise to get everyone loving thrm again.

I think we can expect some surprise ports.

Well my gut feel was right!,,, release of dome cruises!

I find something interesting in the release of cruises for the first part of 2015 this week.

Now what we have seen in the last couple of years is Magic and Wonder released up to April so no noticeable change there, but... We have seen in the last couple of years Dream and Fantasy released through to the end of August at this time.

So in conjecture, why didn't they release Dream and Fantasy further all the way to end of summer?

Well, either there are dome new ports of call, or ongoing discussions that haven't been concluded or pricing issues not decided on.

We do know that DCL is in talks with Tortola since Carnival pulled out, that's an option, but as I have posted before the Dream is not tided to port canaveral from 2015.

Fantasy could take on summer 3/4/7 night cruises from PC and Dream could go for a short season walk about, say Southern Carribean, that would explain why both Dream and Fantasy were not released this week all through from April to August, as both ships could change what there doing, Fantasy is tided to PC for longer so can't move under agreement,

We know Magic is in Europe is on some ports of call at the end of August and now with its extended slide and longer butt Magic can't go west coast, so Wonder is the only ship that can go to Alaska,

Do recall before having for ships DCL often left one ship in summer out of PC, the over milking of the carribean and Bahamas will reduce demand in summer so they can increase income by being more adventurous in the summer.

We will always see a lot of use of St Thomas, St Marten, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Alaska ports of call, as if DCl doesn't make minimum calls a year those prized slots could be lost to a competitor.

In Alaska DCL is getting a good name with there regular visits better slots better days and better permits might come there way, missing any year will run the risk of ruining that and again loosing current slots to the competition.

That's an excellent question. I did think it was a little strange that Disney didn't release the Dream and Fantasy for the entire year. I wonder if it really is an indicator of a change.

I don't think I'd mind only one ship in Florida for the summer like they used to. If that happened, I'd like to see -

Wonder - Alaska
Magic - Med/Baltic
Dream - NYC

I think if they did this, or say Dream do Southern Caribbean they would increase income and bookings.

I would think most realistically it’s either Southern Caribbean from San Juan or Canada/New England from New York. If they did Canada/New England they would be the only cruise doing it in the summer. We don’t get Canada/ New England anymore unless it is September/ October. Would cause a huge price increase and Disney would probably love that.

I would love:
New York
Day at Sea
New England
New England
Canada
Canada
Day at Sea
New York

Yet we do know that Disney was in talks with Quebec but we all figured that would be the Magic since I am pretty sure the Dream can’t fit down the river. Anyone think the Dream can go to Europe? It seems all other cruise lines are sending the bigger ships to Europe.

I don't know of a reason the Dream couldn't go to Europe. Anyone else?

Only reason would be that they can’t fill it. I don’t know if that would be an issue. I think Disney could fill anything. I can see Magic in Quebec, Dream in Europe, Fantasy in Caribbean and Wonder in Alaska. Could be interesting to see that.
