How to get over the disappointment of a cancelled trip?

Yeah agree, people just think it's like a normal theme park but don't appreciate the scale and how bloody brilliant it is!
Not a fan of flying but worth the 9 hours!
Shane its only every couple of years but at the same time I think it makes it better when you have that gap!

Not to mention the characters, how often do you see Winnie the Pooh taking a stroll? I don't mind flying when going there, it's just a drag on the way home though. Yeah and you get to see how things changed over time!

Definitely, be 3 years since I last went this time so a few things changed !
Just a bit worried about having to reserve fast passes before we leave as I liked just choosing what to do each day instead of having to have plans set in stone almost...

Ooo excited for Mine train? I waited ages and didn't find it worth the hype but each to their own!

I was talking about this the other day, although I love having everything planned it doesn't mean I like to follow it. I don't like the idea of choosing a while before even going what rides in what parks we would do every day.

In June we just picked ours the night before, say we came back from magic kingdom we would decide where we wanted to go next day and book the fastpasses. We never had problems with this actually, we got ever ride we wanted and at good times, the only one we didn't get was buzz lightyear which didn't bother me and mine train.

I'm sure we'll do the mine train a few times but not desperate to see it...
Test track was closed last visit so it's 5 years since I've been on there so keen to see the new version!
I live for tower of terror and rockin roller coaster mainly :)

I thought about this a bit and realized there is no way to get over a WDW cancelled trip other than to plan a new one ASAP and most important of all go. If you do not do this you will be haunted of dreams of WDW and be unable to think normal and wonder how the Dole whips are tasting today and just get a sense that you should be there.

You're not missing anything by not going in July. That is, unless you love to be packed in WDW like sardines in a can with blistering temperatures. At that time of year it's not even a vacation, it's a week long survival trial. It may not seem like it now but you're doing yourself a favor by avoiding July.
July is HOT but it's bearable. Sunscreen, breaks, lots of water. Crowded yes, use your early/late EMH to your advantage. Some people can't go any other time.

Wow, i still remember the dreadful feeling when the week before going (after a 2 year wait) the Ash Cloud came. I was distraught. And i know it as irrational. Luckily it lifted the day before and we were able to go as id booked through Virgin Atlantic direct. If we couldnt have gone i dont know howi would have coped
