There has to be a vaccine and parks are operating normal For us to go back. I fear It might be a couple of years before that happens.

What if still no vaccine and parks are operating more than half but guarantees you a ride on almost all attractions with little to no wait, eat whenever you want with no queues? You would want to go when it's operating normal, meaning crowds, long lines, crowds, and long wait times? It's their 50th anniversary next year, I guarantee you people will go no matter what.

Too tough to vote without factoring cost into the equation.

Do I want to wear masks or social distance? No.
Would I for a 50% reduction in price? Absolutely!
So meaning you would suck it up and wear a mask and social distance if the admission price is cut in half?

I will not go back until masks are optional. Wearing a mask in a theme park will not happen for me or my family. I love Disney, but refuse to walk around on vacation with something on my face.
So you're one of those who boycotts Costco cause they won't allow you to enter unless you're wearing a mask eh? I know a vacation at a theme park is different than going to the grocery but still wearing masks at both do have the same purpose.

Wearing a ‘non medical grade’ mask only effective in spreading the virus not contracting it. So I see why people won’t want to wear it.

Can't say for sure. I'll be watching other people's reports about what is open and how it's being operated and be looking to see if there are any deals (haha) or if the cards simply happen to align before I pull the trigger.

But at this point a lot of what I would still like to do at WDW involves things outside the main parks. If it's, say, just two of the parks and Disney Springs, that's not enough for me to go, especially with the inevitable complications that will come with operating a theme park in a pandemic.

I can't answer for the OP, but I would not go to Disney with a face mask requirement, especially if it is during the summer season. That has no bearing on my being OK with wearing one in general and going to stores (I'm not going boycott a store for mandating wearing masks right now in the peak of a pandemic). I can deal with the mask in short bursts, but don't want to even think about wearing it for extended periods of times in the oppressive Florida heat.

You are right on this point. There are some out there that only think of themselves and could care less about protecting others. They will wear sunglasses to protect their eyes, sun screen to protect their skin, a hat to protect their head, and shoes to protect their feet. But there is no way they would wear a mask to protect the family standing in front of them.

I respect you decision on the masks. There needs to be more like you.

I really don't know how you can walk around Florida on a sunny day without sunglasses but that is your choice as it affects nobody but you.

That's not true. A non medical grade mask reduces the chances of someone infected spreading the virus through their respiratory droplets. Please stop spreading misinformation.

For me it is the cost-cutting and the long-term effects of how the parks are run that are more important than direct Covid issues such as masks and distancing. I want all shows and spectaculars running, all characters out, all planned new rides (Rat, Tron, Guardians) open. I don't want to pay full price for a cut-back experience.

I can see your point. But even in a pre-pandemic WDW there was something closed for refurbishment. lol

refurbishment is not cost-cutting.

Splash Mountain closed to refurb is expected.
But no Fantasmic shows (for example) to save costs on cast is less expected and a bigger loss.

I feel blessed to have gone to both DL and WDW right before they fully closed! But i will not go back until they will open 100% back up to their original capacity, I mean i was there closing weekend and was lucky to ride and do everything before the big changes and not going to lie riding Mickey’s and minnie’s runaway railaway opening week, spaceship earth before the big refurb was emotional! Who knows when it will be normal again
