You do realize they are going to have limited staff/longer loading times too right? It’s still going to be an hour + wait for every major ride. This is not DAH, and not only that most of your wait is going to occur outside on the midway most likely.

Yep, I see so many people thinking a reduced capacity WDW will be some sort of off-season utopia. There will no parades or shows to to absorb crowds, and attractions will be running with empty seats and possible stoppages for sanitation. Wait times will likely be comparable to the norm.

How about no food after 8 pm at a really expensive hotel?

Or how about no tables available at sit downs due to rules or closed sites that force much higher percentages to the counter service.

How much do I want to pay to have pecos as the ONLY option?
Simply put, I'm not going during any restrictions unless WDW prorates the prices of tickets and lodging by a corresponding amount....and we all know the chances of that are close to nil.

So I'll wait until they can offer me a full product, for my full dollar.
The “consumers” are already blowing this concept up...

Desperate for whatever is offered.

Everything you say is reasonable from a buyer/seller relationship...but the “capitalists” want their Disney 🙄

I agree....Like I said, the chance that WDW would prorate its prices is nil. I'm just saying this is my POV on it.

I do suspect Disney will feel this pinch in terms percentages. I just dont think it will be enough for them to change....

I'd consider visiting WDW even with limitations in place. With social distancing in place and a majority of time spent outside of buildings, I wouldn't feel terribly unsafe. Granted, my city has a relatively low number of cases so I can't relate to places like New York where the risk and stress factors would feel very different.

My opinion will also change depending on what happens in Florida over the coming weeks.

I think the flights would worry me more than anything.

Or what?!?!

....see? They’ve got you and they know they’ve got you. All they have to do is look you up and see you’re bluffing.
See...this could be an example of “disconnect”. Why would they be running “close to normal” in 5 weeks?

I just can’t see it.
I don’t think they will be running anywhere close to normal, we will just wait until they cancel us and hope that the discounts we had for this year can be used next time.

If I’m staying at a monorail resort, the damn monorail better be running...COVID or not.

I remember a couple of years ago, we existed the Magic Kingdom late and we needed to get back to the TTC. The line to get on the express monorail was so long, it snaked down the ramp, so we headed toward the resort monorail as it stops at the TTC too. The RESORT MONORAIL WAS NOT RUNNING! I was thinking to myself, "Boy I would be really mad if I was staying at a Monorail resort!", I mean that's a BIG reason you stay at a Monorail resort!

Here you are, tired from a long day at the Magic Kingdom and you are so happy that you can jump on the Monorail to get to your resort and BOOM, you got to shelp to the BUSSES even though you paid the big dollars for a monorail resort!

Thankfully, you can take a boat, bus, or walk to the contemporary. The day the lady jumped off the ferry, it was insane. No monorails, no boats, and buses were all slammed. We walked to the contemporary, ate there, and then got on a monorail to the TTC. Then took a monorail to EPCOT, then walked back to Yacht Club.

My wife was livid.

They have me, in a sense, yes. I enjoy being able to take my kids to a place where there isn’t swearing or people generally acting like A-Holes...that being said, I do enjoy the availability of both the monorail and boats from the poly to a point that I will pay much more for it.

That’s a good diversionary tactic...but I’m trained in. “Strawman”

You’re going to go/pay no matter whether the monorail is running or not. What will you do if it’s not? Protest at beach club?

LOL...as much as I would like to, I don’t see myself protesting for a discount cause the monorail is not running one night.

But you probably should...

They should have to earn it...every penny. They haven’t had to really earn anyone’s money in far too long for balance.
I agree, and I’m one to specifically hold people to their contract. However, I’m not going to stand in line for an hour at guest services to at someone because the monorail went down for an evening. Now, all day or multiple times, yes...I’m going to show my .

I would DEFINITELY take advantage of reopening with 50% capacity even though the offerings and the full theme park experience would be cut in half too. People always complain about the crowds here yet they want to wait for the parks to be fully 100% functional which means a normal crowded day.

I'm an AP so paying the same for limited offerings is not a big deal cause I already paid for it, but if you're a traveler from out of state or going just for a day or two it would be a problem.

But you're forgetting that if 50% of the things to do have limited capacity or are closed, 50% of the usual crowd is going to feel the same.

Point taken but that's on them. I'm already happy and contented if only the People Mover is open. My agenda anyways when I go on reopening is only to shop and eat and just walk around. Attractions are not really a priority. Although if Hollywood Studios opens up too then I might want to ride Runaway Railway and Rise again.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm not itching to go and enjoy a week away from all of this stuff (and I realize it may be a new normal for masks in public for a couple years), but I'm also ready to experience new attractions. I think we may skip 2021 and wait an see how this plays out. Plan a few trips when Rat, Guardians, and Tron are all open.
