An extended veranda?? That's a stroke of luck!

I think you'll just miss out on the higher spring break crowds. And hopefully Lady Luck shines on your stateroom selected.
🤞

Yeah, she got lucky. Probably the time of year. Past the holiday crowd and before the Spring Break crowd.

There were LOTS of Concierge staterooms available on my cruise. So I upgraded at the port and got a great deal. 👍🏻

Hopefully the upgrade was less than...

The Tower was snapped up by the time I got to the Port..... 😁

Of course it was.

I had to check, you know how Bob and Josh love their DCL price increases... ;)

The only reasonable price I've ever come across for a concierge room was our 2020 cruise, a 5 night concierge room that became a 4-night regular room in 2021 which became a 3-night regular room on the Wish in 2022.

We're 35 days out for our trip on the Treasure! Quick question - we're BG 13 w/ a Noon Port Arrival Time. What time do you think we'll actually be on the ship?

This will be our second cruise - our first was on the Magic a couple years ago.

I would think Group 13 will be called by noon, so you should be able to board as soon as you get through check-in and security.

I was boarding group 12 on the Wish last week and by the time I got to the Port building at my arrival time (noon) and through security & check-in, my group was already called.

When you arrive at Disney's berth, make sure the ship IS docked at Berth 8 and not 10. There was a Carnival ship docked at Disney's building and the Wish was next door at Berth 10. 🤯

It was a tad disconcerting to see that rust bucket parked behind Mickey's ears. 😠

Is that something that happens from time to time? Another companies shipped parked at the Disney terminal?

Anywho, 374 day until I am on the Destiny (this countdown doesn’t seem to be moving….).

1st time I've seen it in the 16 years I've sailed out of Port Canaveral.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

It was only the wish. Not one of the proper cruise boats.

I had to go to Berth 10 for my Wish sailing at the end of January, too. It is not up to the standards of Berth 8, that's for sure. Everyone was lined up in the hot sun waiting for their port arrival time to be called (fortunately we were only about 30 minutes early bit there were people who had clearly been there for a long time and had later arrival times) and the inside is not organized well. We were Silver at the time of our sailing (now we're Gold, Jerry! Gold!) and there was no separate check-in for the various Castaway Club levels - just 1 generic Castaway Club line and one first-timers line. We were sent to the first-timers line because the CM at the line entrance told us it would be quicker(it wasn't quicker). I never did find a bathroom in the parking garage or the building's exterior, but maybe i just didn't know where to look or the sea of people were blocking it.

The CM who checked us in said that nobody likes Berth 10, not even the CMs. They share it with other cruise lines, so they have to pack up all of the DCL signage at the end of the day every time they use that location. I think the Wish is getting stuck at 10 because the schedule with their 3 ships requires 1 of them to relocate to the shared building and the Wish's schedule works better with the other cruise lines sharing it with them.

From what a CM told me, the Treasure needs Berth 8 as it's bigger...but both the Wish and Treasure are the same size. Or perhaps they meant the bigger Carnival ship.

Yeah, I agree. The parking garage and building aren't ideal compared to Disney's.

We've never sailed out of Port Canaveral. Is it worth showing up prior to the PAT? I thought we wouldn't be let into the building until your PAT.

Don't arrive too early if you can help it. They do check the PAT at certain points before you enter the building, so you'll be stuck waiting around outside or in the parking lot before you can go inside, but you'll be able to drop off any checked luggage and park (if you're driving) before your PAT. I've only ever driven there so I'm not sure how it works with DCL bus transportation if you're using that.
