Booked a placeholder on our last cruise for another with the same friend group in 2026. Somehow we ended up with another booking in 100 days with all our kids plus my mother-in-law.

3 days - Wish HOTHS
28 days - Treasure transatlantic crossing
61 - Treasure preview cruise
For the Treasure transatlantic, these CM only cruises, I'm always curious, is the ship running full operations, like rotational dining, and nightly shows? Or is it bare bones to keep the crew and few guests fed and happy while everyone is working on finishing touches?

I'm also curious about this. My impression has been that there are some "dry runs" for things like dining, servers, etc., while other things are being worked on.

Just got home. not full operations as this is considered a "test an adjust" cruise. it was fun watching them "tweak" things around the ship every day. a peek behind the scenes if you will

Not too far behind you. Took advantage of the FL resident discount DCL was offering. Plus it was WAAAAAAY too long until the end of May. 😁

Never booked a GTY stateroom before.

We've done GTY once. As long as you don't care where your cabin is located (within the class you've booked, obviously), it's really a decent option for near-term cruises.

A friend got an extended veranda for her cruise next week doing a GTY. I'm hoping I booked early enough in February to avoid the spring break crowd and will end up with a nice stateroom.

An extended veranda?? That's a stroke of luck!

I think you'll just miss out on the higher spring break crowds. And hopefully Lady Luck shines on your stateroom selected.
