Well, I didn't get to go to the parks until 1985 because my parents waited until my little brother was old enough to make it all day and tall enough to ride Space Mountain...so, I was about 11 1/2 on my first visit. It was probably about 1976 or 1977 when I'd started begging my parents to take me. By about 1978, I'd crafted these dreams of being magically selected to stay inside the castle...and this was long before I ever knew anything of what was actually inside the castle. I loooooooooved it on my first trip, but I couldn't help but be envious of all of the really young kids meeting the characters and being wrapped up in every aspect of the experience.

I first visited in the late 70s.
I do not remember much, except seeing *The Mickey Mouse Revue*. It was my most memorable early experience with AAs, and at that time i was already heavily interested in animation in all forms. It fasinated me...how these figures could move and perform on their own.
I definately rode the various attractions and such, but when i try to remember anything about the trip i keep coming back to TMMR.

I returned a few years later when EPCOT opened, as i was then living in FL.
July of 1983 was my first visit to EPCOT, and i was blown away on so many levels. The scope of it all was staggering....and completely inspired me in some seriously life changing ways.
I would say the original JII had the biggest impact on me. It showed me that a creative person such as myself at that time could go off and have the ability to make a difference, and making a dream come true all began with that first spark of a idea or motivation.
Seriously, experiencing that attraction and what it stood for really was a turning point in my life for me. Up until then my creative shenanigans were seen as just an excuse for having some lighthearted fun, or as a novelty to amuse people with. After this experience however, i realized i could one day make a career of it !

I would say after that first visit to EPCOT, i was hooked. So my answer to the question would be 1983.
I became obsessed.
I would bring a lap-sized tape recorder onto the rides to record the audio ( still have those tapes ).
I once made my bedroom into a walk-through attraction based on JII.
I collected up a insane amount of WDW related merch and magazine articles about MK and EC( all pre-internet). Later i went off and did even crazier things....like start a fan movement to celebrate EPCOTs 25th Anniversary when their otherwise would not have been one.
Yeah, i was hopelessly netted into the WDW world...and i loved every aspect.

I have been back many times....yearly. Still lots to discover...and every visit brings new things to light.

My parents took us on a cross country trip much like the movie where the Griswalds head to WallyWorld without all the drama. We rode with the windows down, no seatbelts, mom drove, dad drank cold beer and passed it around so we all got a sip. I was 10 and it was 1981. We were headed from Columbus Ga. to California. First to Disneyland then to Walt Disney World before returning home. We were gone for six weeks. I remember I thought I must be the luckiest kid in the world.

My first trip was 2008. Me and my son went with my best friend and her two children for all of our first Disney experience. My sons eyes were just wide and happy the whole trip. He was so happy and excited, and I loved watching him. Truly the perfect vacation. I was so sad the day we left, and I immediatly started planning a second trip. It has become an annual trip for us.

I've been a fan since watching the old Mickey Mouse Club shows (in black and white) on tv. Loved the old Spin and Marty episodes. Thought the Wonderful World of Disney was wonderful. Our family would have our dessert while watcing it each Sunday.

Great memories of those Sunday nights. Mom would bring in bowls of ice cream or bowls of popcorn. Us kids sitting in our pajamas watching all those great Disney shows. As soon as it was over we knew it was bedtime.
Those WWofD programs got me dreaming of one day visiting WDW. I didnt get to make it there until many years later when I was an adult. But got to bring my son there for his first time when he was 8.

I have been a WDW fan for about 4 months. My first visit was in December 2012 for my 25th birthday, my hubby and two boys tagged along.....I honestly fell in love with WDW so much that we got APs and went back in January 2013 and our next trip is May 2013, after that I will be running in my first race ever plus runDisney event TOT tenmiler in October. I honestly have been a giant Disney fan all my life but my parents both from Puerto Rico choose to take us on exotic vacations to different countries instead of taking us to Disney. So now that I am cultured I have some kiddy fun to make up lol.
