How long has Expedition Everest looked like this?

Rode Everest for the first time in a few months and was shocked to see the condition around the load station. How long has it been this way? Absolutely terrible show. What is the point in going to the lengths they went to, and then leaving it in this condition. It seems with Everest that when you think it has reached its lowest point it manages to stoop even lower. Such a shame.

I sure as hell hope so. That is horrendous. This makes the side of the dumbo show building look like amateur hour.
Do you know of any work in that area? I do not recall any but I no longer keep track of the permits like I use to.

Yep, it's awful. Same with Kali.

The bamboo was cut down incase it fell onto something or someone after the Tree of Life incident.

I kid you not. It began about 6 weeks ago.

Just...wow. Horrible show. I can't believe they would do that with nothing to block the view of backstage. Does anyone who manages WDW even care anymore?

There are tons of things they could have done to block that view. Bigger plants or trees, even a big green scrim with a leafy foliage on it. Even if it was temporary until new landscaping grows in. But the way it is now is just terrible.

I'm waiting for the folks to tell us how seeing a giant warehouse building doesn't matter, or why we're just nit-picking , or doom and gloomers...

Yes in areas. It was a park knee jerk reaction to the Tree incident. Read into that what you will but the morning it happend EE CMs were very vocal to park management to protest their dislike. And then they butchered Kali too.

Way to go DAK management.
Given peoples propensity to sue in this country I kind of get it. It seems like every commercial break has at least one add for 1-800-bad-drug, or some other ambulance chaser. However, plant some larger bamboo or put up a scrim until it fills in.

I saw this yesterday. It makes sense that they would want to cut it back, but not to the extent that they did.

A positive point of note though, the backside of Everest where you have the painted village is almost completely obscured by the tree line in the parking lot. I'd say in another couple of years it will be a 100% non-issue.

How far does this myopic attitude spread throughout TDO - we know it starts at the top but how deep does it go down? Can we have an Extreme Makeover Management Replacement Edition in Orlando, but who to replace them with?

Stop over reacting about the ride vehicle building. Just about every roller coaster ride I have been on in my life u usually end up riding through those areas or next to them. It's just rediculous what you people complain about on here sometimes...
You know that not seeing things like this is what makes Disney different to the rest right?

You've got to love DAK management. They go from one extreme to another. In this situation, they go overboard and cut back all the foliage and then it'll be lightning and raining but they'll still send MJJP out during that. They say Safe "D" begins with everyone but in reality it's like screw the parade cast.
