I look at my photos from the previous trip. I go to Disney.com and see if there is anything new or something I might have missed. I go to WDWmagic and see if there are any other words of wisdom you guys have posted to help me along. Pull out my videos I have taped from the travel channel. Let's see, anything else....oh, I am already packed, but I double check the list to see if there is anything I might have left.

I am sure there is something I have left off, but I have already started packing for my September trip. Okay, maybe packing isn't the right word, but I have already started a list and have started gathering my stuff. I'm so excited!

I start packing, which is a multi-day experience, then I get excited so I start watching some videos, and then I look around the web and make sure I'm current on what's going to be open/closed/refurbed/etc. And then I fly 2.5 hours to Florida and upon arriving, I realize that I left my swimsuit/deodorant/sandals/charger back home. I'll never forget the time I flew around 6 or 7 hours to Phoenix, spent a few days there, headed up to Las Vegas, and only then, walking from the parking garage to the Luxor, did I realize that I didn't have my swimsuit, and boy doesn't that suck.

Just now I was making my list of everything I need to do for our departure Wednesday morning.

For the past week I've been listening to Disney park music non-stop on the ipod and sorcerer radio (while we still can) and scouring these forums. I'm going to print out that list of hidden secrets that was started by someone on these boards and make mental notes of which ones to look out for. I am also a freakish planner and I'm going over every tiny detail of what I've planned each day, only knowing I'm going to probably never take the itinerary out of the bag once I'm there. I'm also trying to prepare myself for how sad I'm going to be when it's time to come home.

Less than 48 hours now! :sohappy: :sohappy:

LOL, my friends call me "The Disney Nazi" as I plan plan plan our vacation. They jokingly ask if I've left the option of bathroom breaks ;)

Also, this will sound weird, but: I dig in to my stash of Disney Hotel toiletries & start using the soap. That smell alone makes me excited for the trip! :sohappy:

I spend as much time on the boards as possible. I always check the weather and even watch some of my favorite Disney Movies. I also look at my pictures and see what new pictures i want to take.

Wow, those are all cool ideas. Sadly for me, I still have 42 days left. But I have a few things that I do in getting ready for Disney.

1.) Disney Movie Count-down. (One movie a day until we leave.....today's is Saludos Amigos).
2.) Look through my pins and see which ones I feel like trading this year.
3.) Listen to Disney Magic on Live365 as much as possible.
4.) Visit Google Video and watch some of the ride videos on there.
5.) Find out extra magic hours so I can plan my nights (whether it's in a park or at Pleasure Island)
6.) *New to this year* Get a list of all the attractions/shops/shows that I need for my guide.

I tend to listen to park area music loops a LOT during the two months or so before my vacation. I also like to watch planning DVD's over and over again.

Anyone else browse through thier old park brocheurs? I do that and watch all of my old WDW Planning DVDs/VHS tapes.

I had never done that before, but ordered & loved the new planning DVD. In fact, I was able to pick up the 2006 and 2005 DVD's on ebay for under $5 each.

Well, I look over my trip itinerary about 1,000,000 times!:p
Then, I jump & down!
Then, I look through scrapbooks & photo albums of previous trips!:p
Then, I jump up & down again!
Then, I go through the plans for my upcoming trip in my mind!:p
Then, I jump up & down some more!
Then, when it's finally time to go, I have to pinch myself to make sure it is real!
I Love WDW!!!

Well,

We leave in just over 2 months and so far I've:

Watched the planning DVD twice
Let my "daughter" wath the Incredibles and Little Mermaid (she's only 8 months old, lets be clear about who was really watching)
Loaded Disney CD's into the car (so we can expose my daugher of course)
Given my daughter a Mickey Mouse plush
Recorded about 4-5 specials on Disney on my DVR (yet to watch though)

I'm sure the madness will continue.

We go crazy with our dvds from past trips. On our last trip, my step father in law asked us who was going to watch the over 14 hours of tape we had shot & we said that we would when we were home waiting for our next trip! I think that he was just worried that we would subject HIM to endless hours of our disney vacation! No worries, we just watch it as a family.

Disney Planning

:D :D :D The heck with a week before, we have 128 days and we already start. We take out our Birnbaum book and our Passporter and go over all the details which we do every trip and know them by heart but it's still like new anyway! We check our reservations, make sure we have all the Extra Magic hours down so we know what we are doing. We listen to all the disney music on Live 365 every weekend in the back yard with all our books out and our dinner reservation sheet with all the reservation numbers. go over all the menus' for the umpteenth time etc. We are possesed but happily possessed!

I study for finals...haha. :ROFLOL:
It usually just hits right when break starts, so there's no time to anticipate, which kinda takes some of the fun away.

When I do have time, or did have time, I would listen to park soundtracks and the vacation planning DVD and video! I also used to watch home movies when I was younger. I think my first love will always be the 25th Anniversary vacation planning video. Ahh, nostalgia.
