17 1/2 hours Driving NJ to Fl. Or a quick 15 minute drive to my local airport, 30 minute drive to Philly Airport, or 30 minute drive to Newark airport. 2 hours or less flight

If we drove it would be 19 hours from Ontario, Canada - we live near the border at Detroit, MI so we fly - a little over 2 hours in the air. Better than when I was a kid - my parents drove the 24 hours from east of Toronto.

Nova Scotia, Canada. Roughly 2420kms (1500 miles) About a 30 hour drive or for my flights in June - connecting flights, leaving Halifax at 6am and arriving in Orlando at 1:10pm - though my time zone is 1 hour later so it's actually about 8 hours travel time (I like it when I can get direct flights instead.)

So in reading the boards here over the past five years I have always wondered where everyone hails from. I know there is a lot of activity in the overnight hours (overnight to me here in the US) so it got me to thinking...why not chime in on where you are from so we can all get to know each other a little better.

Sorry if this is a reheated idea (I don't remember seeing one before) but at least it is better than another ECV discussion:eek:

Thirteen and a half hour drive (including time change). We leave from SOUTH Louisiana and drive straight thru thanks to my husband. The trip going to disney for some reason is longer than going home...hmmm!

We're living here in Allentown (PA-shout out to Billy Joel's song). Our drive is somewhere around 1,000 miles but we split the drive up over two days or do a combo drive/Autotrain trip to break up the monotony of I-95.

From my door in Michigan to jambo house (or as I call it home) it is 1220 miles or 19hrs 14min straight thru. Or 1.5 hrs drive to DTW and a 2.5hr flight to MCO.

I can't believe how many drive- I thought my 2 hours 45 minutes sucked, I couldn't bear 18 hours!
We drive because we don't want to pay at least $2000.00 in plane tickets and another $500 or so on a rental car. A hotel on the way down and back and then gas, and you're only paying about $800 or so. That's a huge difference. More money to spend in the parks.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Australia! Just a 19 hour plane trip to get to the world! I leave in a week and the timezones are so different that I am waking up at midnight here and falling asleep at 3PM just to get used to it!
How far is that ?
