Depends. It is an 18 hour southerly drive. However, heading north and going around the globe the other way is more scenic. Probably not worth the long stretches without potties. It does convince you that the flat earthers are full of doo doo.

15 minute ride from home to the Hollywood Amtrak station
4.5-5 hour train ride to the Orlando Amtrak station
20-25 minutes ride on I-4 west to the World
I looked into a Amtrak ride once, it's not happening. From New Orleans we are forced to either go to Chicago or D.C. first then head south to Orlando. One was 23 hours the other was 27 hours lol.

It's roughly 755 miles from our house to French Quarter. It takes about 12 hours by car.
From my house to the real French Quarter is about 10 miles, 15 minutes with red lights lol.

Liking this thread! We are coming from central Pennsylvania: traveling 1040 mi. in roughly 5 hrs. (includes drive to MDT, plane ride, and DME). Perhaps we will one day cut our travel time down to a couple of driving hours ;)

Hi Mr Ferret! I had no idea you were from Guernsey! We're from the UK and are planning on holidaying at Guernsey and Jersey next year instead of WDW!!!!!! There seems to be so many things to do and all so cheap!!!!

19 - 21 hours from Western NY hauling the RV behind us. By air -- 2 hours to Rochester NY, wait 2 hours to be there early because of security, 2.5 hour flight if you get out on time to MCO 1 and 1/2 hours to resort. Need to mover closer!

1 hour and 20 minutes. Ocala, Fl. Not to rub it in to anybody but I couldn't imagine living farther away. We do something Disney related at least twice a month. Some months every weekend

149 miles from my driveway to the poly...2 hours 20 minutes in the car with one potty break. just far enough away to feel like we're going somewhere for vacation but close enough not to have to worry about flying and to do a one day down and back trip.

It's the jet stream. You get a massive headwind travelling east to west, but it turns into a tailwind on the way home.
