I looked into a Amtrak ride once, it's not happening. From New Orleans we are forced to either go to Chicago or D.C. first then head south to Orlando. One was 23 hours the other was 27 hours lol.15 minute ride from home to the Hollywood Amtrak station
4.5-5 hour train ride to the Orlando Amtrak station
20-25 minutes ride on I-4 west to the World
From my house to the real French Quarter is about 10 miles, 15 minutes with red lights lol. It's roughly 755 miles from our house to French Quarter. It takes about 12 hours by car.
So, you can gamble and get out of town in a hurry, and I can shop! Too bad I'm not big on the shopping thing, though.I'm sandwiched between everything a Casino and an airport..lol
