My parents were 20 when they married (well, my mom was technically 19. But she turned 20 three days later). They have been married for 34 years (from last Aug).

That's how I feel right now. But...I'm not sure how to get around it. I mean, we have to have a cake, supposedly we have to have flowers (though I'm not really a flower person ), we have to feed everyone so we need a caterer, apparantly we can't just stand up there and say "I do" there has to be an officiant (which is the main thing that's stressing me out right now because we're hitting so many road blocks). There's certain things that you do have to have there. Add 1239.4 miles in there and these things really do need to consume us for at least the month or so it takes us to find them. BUT we're doing it together and, I think, dealing with the challenges that we are and solving them together...I think is good for us as a couple. If that makes sense :veryconfu
Yes, that makes absolute sense.

Is there any way you can have maybe your mom or something help with some of this stuff? I know it makes it not as great b/c you might not want your mom's imput, but it might make things easier.

Oh and I understand the stress is making you closer as a couple together.

My mom lives a couple hours away from Omaha but has been helping as best she can. I already told her that she can help out w/ anything she wants except the DJ. She's a huuuuge country music fan and our "do not play list" is essentially going to say "play anything BUT country".
My cousin, who's one of my bridesmaids, lives in Omaha and has been helping quite a bit so that's good.

You are so right. Too often, brides (Steph-stop reading for a minute :lookaroun) get so caught up in THE WEDDING that they forget that the day after the wedding, they will be married. For life. I think if all couples put as much effort into their marriage as they do planning their wedding, there would be a lot less divorce. Of course, planning my wedding stressed me out and I wanted it all to be perfect, but at the end of the day, I wanted to be married to my best friend forever... :o
Agreed. Divorce not an option.

It's the weirdest thing. I haven't done anything to my pictures saved on my hard drive (the ones i use for Facebook). Yet I have a couple of albums with red x's for the pictures. I don't get it.

Hey Jenny. I love breakfast-for-dinner. so much fun!

Hey Betty.
