I got Marc the Futurama movie for Christmas. It was good, I thought. Not old school Futurama, of course, but passable. I thought it was interesting that they tried to cram in as many of the recurring characters as humanly possible...What did you think?

I don't know. I would hope that it will encourage her now to get her to do her work faster. I don't think she will rebell but it is possible.

...or she might just give up and think she's dumb. That's a tough age then - just be careful to take her own self-esteem into consideration.

Sorry to hear about your DD Su... I know how hard that can be... Marc really shouldn't have graduated high school at all, he's on such a low reading level.. The system failed him when he was growing up.....

I know exactly how frustrating it must be!

Did they only screen for ADD? If they did they may have missed something else. They said the girls had ADD, but they really didn't fit the entire profile. The school psychologist was very thorough when he tested them, he tested for a very wide range of problems.

I ddp telling her that she has to prove that she is smart and she had to prove that she can do the work. I can't do it but she has too and I believe in her and I believe she is very smart.

Well, between her, my 8 month old nephew and my almost 4 year old nephew, plus Marc, his parents and my BIL and SIL... we're quite the party!
