I suppose I'd have to see some attendance data to know if or why this show requires any updating at all. Was rarely an easy reservation for my family to secure for the past 20 years (when it was running) This sounds a bit like a typical Disney choosing to fix something that is far from broken.

I don’t think it’s an issue of being unpopular, there’s just some scenes that don’t really work anymore. I can see it being retired instead of rehashed. I just want buckets of fried chicken with good singing and dancing, I wouldn’t be upset if that was provided by a new show and script.

I'm fine with that, just keep the name. It's a staple. "Hoop Dee Doo Bluegrass Revenue" I don't care lol

Is the luau officially canceled? Or is that still speculation? I believe that it's not coming back but, likely to be replaced with a new DVC Tower. I have a hard time believing that second part but if that's one speculation that seems to have some legs. That said none of that is official yet???

Edit. Disregard all of the above. I see the post now and the official announcement....finally.
