Hoop Dee Doo?

The “other site” has a picture from this past weekend of some workers changing the sign on the doors to a new Hoop Dee Doo sign and then promptly covering it back up.

Not sure what that means. Routine maintenance or getting ready to reopen the building?

That other site says rumor has it changing to a "bluegrass music act" But take it with a grain of salt due to the source.
I saw that as well. IDK if I like this......Would TDO really kill two iconic WDW Shows on the Same Day????? Or did neveryone see this coming and I'm the last one?

The updates to the show were known and even expected to some degree (given the company's apparent audit of cultural references in the parks). However, this is much more than that. Why not just modify the show as needed and keep it the same name, then everyone wins.

That's where I'm confused with this supposed change. I'm fine with updates but can we really expect them to put together a solid dinner show from scratch? What kind of "updates" do people expect? Inclusivity tweaks are all good with me. But are people expecting more sophisticated jokes? Better effects?

The simplicity is what absolutely makes the show for me. You have a spotlight, piano and banjo, small stage, incredible performers, and...that's it.

Presently, The Diamond Horseshoe has a player piano and the same family style meals prepared in the Liberty Tree Tavern kitchen.

Would it really surprise anyone if current management placed a player piano on the stage and served the same family style meals prepared in the Trail's End kitchen?

And then they wonder why guests aren't going out of their way to pay $50 per person to watch a single piano player at the backend of a resort that (on a good day) takes a half hour to get to from another resort. But with how absolutely brainless management has been with various resort changes, this wouldn't surprise me.

This is the photo referenced above. Since this is Buena Vista Construction Co. and not WDI, I'd be surprised if there's any significance to this.

That being said, this isn't as simple as the Country Jamboree story (regardless of what you believe). Disney could easily make a last minute decision to *not* shut down the attraction. But in terms of a new show coming to Pioneer Hall, if it's done, it's done. They've been rehearsing it for likely weeks, probably months.
