;) I take it way tooooo seriously too. except for this year. so I decided to concentrate on the bears instead. I think WI won today...but we didn't. :( BRING BACK KITTNER!!!

anywho. I should have a great pic of the new scoreboard tomorrow, assuming my camera really does work....I sent it in to get fixed, but I don't think it got fixed. :(

LoL...I was gonna be really mean, and post pictures of the rose bowl stadiums from 94, 99 and 2000 and call that our home stadium :)

by the way...we're still the only big ten teams to win back to back rose bowls..... :p

 I never thought of this until now. You don't think they'll change the name of Beaver Stadium do you?

I'm afraid I can't do much Big Ten/Rose Bowl bragging. I'm nervously waiting out next week's Penn State/Nebraska game and hoping we can at least survive.

hehe, thread drift.....oh well!

you have one thing at penn state that most teams don't have. A coach older than dirt! And he has coached the SAME college for so long. amazing.

Yet he has the fashion sense of a man half his age:lol:

He is an odd, interesting little man. He used to walk by our dorm on his way to practice every day. He would walk really fast, look straight ahead, and all around him everyone would go crazy: "Joe!" "Hey Joe!" "Give 'em hell Joe". He'd just keep walking and wave.

Now that I've been out of school for 15 years, the whole college football thing is mainly a nostalgia thing. I'd almost rather lose with that old man than win with someone else.

You're right about the thread drift though, so I'll shut up now.:zipit:

Alberta pix

Here is a picture of Lake Louise in early Spring (cloudy day), NOT my hometown, but only a few hours west of me (and still in my home province)

thanks gary!! The fall colours are starting to appear up here, so I'll have to try to get some pictures of our river valley over the next couple of weeks.

WOW! The RCMP does a musical! On horseback, no less! When do they open on Broadway?

Sorry, couldn't resist.:D

Great pictures. When I was young, I wanted to move to Canada and become a citizen just so I could join the RCMP. I have some distant relatives in Canada. I hope to go there someday - not to find the relatives, just to see Canada.:animwink:

Thanks no2apprentice & Maria!

Banff is really beautiful all year and if you like skiing, it's a great place to be in the winter (great night life too!!)

There is a lot of wildlife there - deer, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, wolves, etc. and the elusive bears!! In all the times I've been there I think I've seen 1 bear and I was probably 4 years old at the time!
