Trip Report Holy Smokes! Let's see how it goes?! *COMPLETED*

Hi Everyone! 🙋‍♀️

Welcome to my modest atempt in writing my very first Trip Report!

It all started when posting on a thread about the new smoking ban inside the parks, and someone (Hi @Lensman !) suggested that I could write about my experience during my next visit to WDW.

This Trip Report will NOT be just about smoking! Although I will be honest about my personal perspective about it during my visit.
(In no way am I endorsing or suggesting that it is advisable to smoke).

As I said before in this forum, I hope that in writing about our trip, not only will I share my little adventure with you, but also hopefuly, be distracted from smoking! 😁

So, if you would like to join me, thank you! I hope you find it at least a bit entertaining

Love, love following along. You are living my dream. I want so badly to buy a DVC, it is great fun to hear what you think your first time as a DVC member.
Thank you @Liz kunde !
You know, the first time we took the DVC Open House, about 15 years ago, we figured out rather quickly that we could not afford it.

For us it seemed like an impossible dream! It took years of planning, adjusting and crunching the numbers to finally make it a reality.

We are members since 2011, and for us it's been so worth it!

Thank you for following! 😀

Oops I meant the one at the entrance. :) The one at the Seas -Land always confused me because it was so in the middle of traffic flow. Even though I smoke, I always felt the areas off the beaten path were best. Have a great trip! I caved and decided to come for a few days, we get there this weekend.
Great, I hope you'll have a great time!

I agree, Disney missed the mark when choosing some inadequate Smoking Areas from the beginning!

Didn't you give away "donate" all your gift cards away?

1500 bucks worth- Bought a ton of toys and donated, with like 300 bucks,
That is a lot of cigs you gave away, but still a very, very nice thing you did;)
Best thing I ever did. ;) We spend a lot of money at Disney, and on Disney stuff- I bought a ton of toys. And donated-plus the majority of our total of 3500 in Disney gift cards, we have. I am a total nut for giving back, to the degree that Make a Wish is written into my will. If you are trying to be sarcastic, by posting- I am paying, out of pocket for my trip, other than like 200 bucks. ;)

No sarcasm at all, truly a great thing you did

Phew! 😅 Hi Everybody!
Sorry, I know its late but just wanted to let you know how the first day of the ban turned out for me.

I took advantage of the International Gateway smoking area when we walked by United Kingdom. Another long walk! Almost at the bridge that takes you either to Boardwalk or Beach Club Resorts.

The good news is that I smoked just 2 cigs total while at Epcot!

Next are a couple of pictures of this

Honestly, the hardest times I had were after lunch and mid afternoon. I didn't need to chew the gum.

I didn't want to miss on a beautiful day! And with so much to see and do, my mind was busy just enjoying the moment.

It'll be and adjustment I guess!

Tomorrow we'll try to be at Epcot for the Blue Angels fly-over, it'll be at 9:30 am aprox.

Here's the thing:
I am NOT an early riser!
I am NOT a morning person!
So poor Frank had to bribe me into splurging on a nice breakfast, we'll see...! Hahaha! 😄

Good luck with the early wake up! Enjoy your nice breakfast. I think seeing the Blue Angels fly-over will be amazing.
