Trip Report Holy Smokes! Let's see how it goes?! *COMPLETED*

Hi Everyone! šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø

Welcome to my modest atempt in writing my very first Trip Report!

It all started when posting on a thread about the new smoking ban inside the parks, and someone (Hi @Lensman !) suggested that I could write about my experience during my next visit to WDW.

This Trip Report will NOT be just about smoking! Although I will be honest about my personal perspective about it during my visit.
(In no way am I endorsing or suggesting that it is advisable to smoke).

As I said before in this forum, I hope that in writing about our trip, not only will I share my little adventure with you, but also hopefuly, be distracted from smoking! šŸ˜

So, if you would like to join me, thank you! I hope you find it at least a bit entertaining

But hereā€™s the thing.....this is a TRIP REPORT thread.

Someoneā€™s Trip Report is NOT the place to comment about politics, religion, illegal or immoral activities, or (in your case) a deliberate plan to break the rules of a privately held company. The fact that you disagree with this policy should be posted elsewhere. A quick search of the forums and you can find the appropriate place.

Trip Reports are intended to be fun reads.....not controversial....and attacking the original poster is mean and trollish behavior. @NunuBelle is merely incorporating her experience as a smoker with the new policy in effect. The majority of her report thus far (and what I assume will be the rest of it) is focused on the great time she and her husband are currently having. And I, like the other thousands who are following, are enjoying it very much.

Please do not post again unless you either a) apologize or b) have something positive to say.

No
I don't know if he is going to be happy with me posting a picture of him in his pajamas! šŸ¤
Those are his pajamas? It looks like what my boys wear 24/7.
I am having fun reading along. I feel like I am there!! (The fun and magic of live TRā€™s)
Enjoy the day!
BTW, I will be flying down next Friday. I usually bring the bad weather ā˜”ļø. You have been warned.

>>>>Congratulations for quitting smoking. I really mean that.
I also would like to take the opportunity to tell you that this Trip Report is not about finding ways to bend the rules on smoking inside the Disney parks.<<<<<NunuBelle

Thank you and I know what this thread is about. Its also open to all who wish to join in unless those who join in break the rules of the forum. That is how message board forums go. You have fun in them unless someone comes in and shares ideas or opinions different from your own. Then you either handle that difference of an opinion like an adult or you don't participate. That's what make message board forums so interesting.

>>>>>If you look me up on this Forum, you will learn about my position on this matter, which is the exact opposite of what you are stating about your daughter vaping inside the restrooms.<<<<<NuNuBelle

I usually don't spend a lot of time "looking forum members up". And I understand exactly what your position is on this topic. But thank you for clarifying again.

>>>If that is your position, you might find this thread rather boring.<<<<NunuBelle

I don't find it boring at all. That's why I hopped right on in.;)

>>>Maybe the title gave you the wrong impression?<<<<NunuBelle

Nope. I don't think so. You are a smoker and wanted to share your experience at the WDW parks where smoking is now prohibited every where in all the parks as a smoker.

It is a very interesting thread....

And if my posts don't get moderated out of it because of my unpopular views about smoking and vaping or the thread does not get shut down because the powers that be are afraid we might not be able to play nicely and get along well with others....

It should continue to be a very interesting thread
I welcome everybody's opinions regardless. Perhaps better suited on another thread? We both had our say.
It's all good :)

I would like to know your opinion on this:

Last April we stayed at Coronado Springs and a cast member gifted us 2 extra sets of pins. These were left in the rooms because of the renovations that are going on.
I was thinking of giving them away to kids with pin lanyards, but I woudn't want to come across as creepy! šŸ˜¬

How would you do this? Any ideas?

I think that is an awesome idea. I love to give things like fastpasses in the old days, we canā€™t use, and have had people do the same to us in the past. I kinda just watch and notice. With kids maybe approach mom and dad, and strike up a conversation- then ask if they would like them, the parents if it is okay. I adore guest to guest pixie dust. :)

I had adults give me E-ticket books in the park when I was a kid. It didn't come across as creepy.
If you just explain that you have these pins, and you would rather they have them, that's good enough.
It's like a magic moment with guests. It might actually inspire the kids to do magic moments later on in their life.

We were, as a family during the Year (s) of a Million Dreams at , AK, given the FP Lanyards by guests that could not use them. My kids never forgot it. They were like 13 and 10. We had gotten them the year prior from Disney for MK- but the ones that were given to us by fellow guests, always to this day- is the most precious!

Actually no we both did not have our say. Mine was moderated out. But your thread was interesting and I enjoyed most of it. I hope the rest of your vacation is a great as it appears to be so far.

May the dust of Tinkerbell forever fall upon the heads of you and yours.

Peace out

One never forgets that kindness. I still recall the faces of the people that gave me tickets at Disney, and that was forty years ago.

Had a great time at Studios, lunch at Woody's Lunchbox, those grilled cheese sandwiches were delicious! Now, about getting a table... šŸ˜£ we stood for a while with our food and no shade waiting for people who had finished, but lingered, to be able to eat. Oh well! šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

We saw a VIP tour cast member reserving AND cleaning a table for a group. At that moment I understood why some people find value in those experiences! šŸ˜„

I'm seeing where it would be very doable, especially now as there's things such as gums, inhalers, and snus to help, for a smoker to have a great visit. It looks to me as if you are having a grand time, and I'm glad of it.
