That post you quoted was from a different refurb. Originally there was another, more extensive refurb planned from 10/8-11/16.

I know it's not earth-shattering news or anything, but I was at the Studios today and HISTK playground was open. The Backlot tour was closed as scheduled.

Sadly, that ship has sailed.
Now rip it out and give us something cool; with broad appeal and re-rideability.
And while we're at it, let's keep Starring Rolls open later, into the evening.

What I would WANT to happen:
-Leave Baclot Tour open but with a new entrance where LMA currently is and a refurb.
-Cars Land out of Pixar Place and taking up some "backlot"
(the Backlot Tour would go on a bridge over their "Radiator Springs Set" and Catastrophe Canyon would be refitted into the back side of Cars Land)
