Hollywood Studios Park Wide Changes Incoming?

@marni1971 so what does this mean for Indiana Jones and the Launch Bay? They were the most assumed candidates for replacement due to age (Indy) and redundancy (Launch Bay). Also, are the VotLM and Beast replacements still happening?

I believe it was said a couple times that Launch Bay will remain open and then when SWL opens it'll close. Not sure on the other things though :/

My question is more of a "what's next?" for them. Circa 2019 I expect them to still be open, but my question is what they will become after Star Wars Land opens. Will Launch Bay be transformed into a new attraction, revert to back to Animation, or simply be shuttered?

That's a question for @marni1971 :) I know originally Phase 3 or 4 was slated for that space but things have changed since then, Phase 3 is just an e-ticket and generally park improvements and I don't think Phase 4 is a thing at all anymore.

My inside sources tell me that there are far reaching plans to close the Backlot area and replace it with two IP-driven lands, they were very tightlipped about which ones but hinted at one Marvel or LucasArts property, and one Pixar based.
Disney forum members be like. ;)

Hollywood studios needs to be updated. Originally the U2 was asked to do Ripping Rock Rollarcoaster. Then Aerosmith was asked.
Didn't know they asked U2. I thought the first band they tried was actually the Rolling Stones, but the licensing fee was too high.

As much as I love Beauty and the Beast, it's kind of sad to see the relic of a show still rambling on. Yet Frozen goes in California, and cruise ships get Tangled AND Frozen... Time for an update of the musical.
I would like to see a new show but the Theater of the Stars is not up to par with the Hyperion for a show of that caliber. Maybe after Star Wars land is complete they can afford to lose BatB for a new theater.
