What you you guess the percentage of “one and done” are on property in a given day?

They want the frequenters a “certain way”…and it’s not “our way”

That’s always my first question when people claim they only want one and done guests, my guess is probably 10-20% are one time visitors, with return visitors and APs making up the other 80-90%.

I don’t think anyone knows what Disneys ”ideal” guest is but I feel confidant saying it’s not one and done guests who will never return, I also feel confidant saying it’s not someone with an AP visiting 50+ days a year.

If I had to guess it’s the repeat visitor that’s visits twice a year, for a week each visit, and stays on property. Repeat visitors are Disneys bread and butter, without them the US parks would run out of one and done visitors within a year.

Walt's movies didn't explode and drive people into traffic lol.
Im done with the Elon thing since he is clearly not buying into Disney, it was a joke.

The comments about him are funny though. Every major auto manufacture has had problems that have lead to deaths, from faulty brakes to airbags etc.

I can think of at least 2 people that died in ride accidents at Disneyland before Walt’s death.

So by your logic that must be Walt’s fault.

Isn't social media typically far more positive towards Disney than negative?
I think he's talking about how social media spoiled all of the little unexpected "gifts" people would get. For example, when my daughter stayed at a resort for her birthday - 20+ years ago - she received a card and balloons in our room, along with a birthday cake at one of the restaurants. My parents got flowers, champagne, and chocolates on their 50th Anniversary (1990). I haven't heard anything about towel animals, even before Covid. Again, instead of viewing them as a cute surprise, people would get angry if they didn't get them; after all, other people on the internet talked about and showed pictures of theirs.

But with the advent of the internet, these little surprises were shared with thousands of people, and people started not only expecting them, but sometimes demanding them. And also, sadly, lying about their "celebrations."

I think the word is "entitled"

You know what's funny?
Or " I bought a 9.6% stake in this company because I don't like how they moderate tweets"?
Or started a company that shuttled astronauts back into space…that is also bringing high speed internet to people around the globe who otherwise would not have access. Or brought an electric car to the market that changed the entire industry.

Like most visionaries who leave a mark on the world, they march to the beat of their own drum and typically upset people along the way. It’s funny to see it play out now.

Been very impressed with Elon's accomplishments. Even with a capped 14.9% share of Twitter, he will change that company as well. Just his position on the board is getting an [EDIT] button that they've never had. A small step. But, one the company hasn't been willing to do in over 15 years. As @Andrew C points out, his accomplishments have literally created an industry and stepped into the huge gap left by the US stopping its low-earth manned flights too early. He started the first successful online payment system. Like him or not. His mark on history has already been made. None of that sounds like something a 5-year old can do.

He’s an eccentric genius…

…but as with that archetype…probably can’t tie his shoes

…so he probably has $200,000,000 in R&D invested in coming up with “shoelace alternatives”

He is going to make all new shoes. They will tie themselves and have autopilot. The shoes will walk for you, so that you can stare into your phone the entire time while tweeting.

See the master plan now?

Mwha ha ha ha ha <—- maniacal genius laugh
