Holiday Wishes has been shortened

Disappointing, but can't say it's a surprise...:(

Be curious to hear if anyone can pick up on a change (if any) to to the Illuminations Holiday tag.

It looks like around 1:45 to 2 min was cut from the show. I watched it once through and even being a fan, I knew something seemed missing, but I couldn't pinpoint the cuts until I watched last year's version. It didn't seem as choppy as the cuts in Hallowishes. Suprisingly, several of the parts that were cut were simply music or narration with no fireworks. The biggest part missing is the "feels like christmas" part as mentioned above right in the beginning. They combined Jiminy's narration that previously was before and after this section into one and I don't think you can even tell.

Shame it had to be cut, but all the great moments of the show stayed thankfully, unlike the cut to Hallowishes that cut "the dark queen's" sections.

Yea, the cuts are not as bad as I thought they would be. If I had to guess the cuts, I thought they wouldve cut the "O Christmas tree" section (but they didnt and good). Although I am going to miss those giant golden willows.

At least the large willow section is still at the end.. I thought some of the slower parts would be cut or they would cut the Russian dance song part since it is so firework intensive, similar to the dark queen section in Hallowishes, but that is still there.

Lets just be thankful they are still running the show in the first place. Hopefully when everything picks up things will get better.

With all these cuts happening, I wonder what is going to become the New Years Eve show? or even next years 4th of July? Do you think they will shorten those shows as well? or will they still go all out in celebration?

my guess:a song was in the show they wern't interested in paying for anymore

Not to mention shorter show = fewer fireworks = saved money. If there were a song they didn't want to pay for anymore, it probably would've been just as easy to replace it with an original song, or a public domain song, or one from their own library.

Yea, kind of bummed that they cut the "Feels Like Christmas" Part, but, they kept the Nutcracker segment, and that's my favorite part :D. I skipped some parts of the video, are they still doing the half perimeters?

Yeah, I was thinking the same...

But as long as they don't touch the regular, nightly shows, I'm good.:o
I hope I am not shot at for saying this:

Has anyone here thought that Epcot could do the Rehab version of ROE with the globe to save a lttle money? Maybe by doing that, it could help the F! issue and/ or prevent a Wishes issue.

While it's still busy here.. word is, this is only going to get worse.
Expect to see yet more cuts and yes even layoff's are now being talked about.

All this, while there is a hireing freeze, cast members working 6 and 7 days a week and plenty of people still visiting the parks. Kinda odd.
