I have. All the way back in like 2005. It’s pretty normal to see the headliners up at 3-4 hours.

Even if you’ve seen it you would forget about it. Trust me.

“Hey let’s make a pre-show and call it an attraction and put it in the back corner of a park next to nothing that has anything to do with the franchise.”
Chapek - “great idea”

It’s the only place in WDW to see an amazing cartronics featured in DCA’s Radiator Springs Racers, and is pitiful. The only time I watched it I constantly thought, man I wish I was riding RSR instead.

My goodness, now I think I'll make it a point to find it just to see how bad it is! :D

Similar but less egregious; the Daruma doll Storyteller in Epcot has been absent from the app map this whole time.

Which reminds me; are there ever showtimes for the lion dancer? I really wanted to see it but every time I checked it had no showtimes. Did it happen this year?
yep, she hasn't been listed the whole festival. Also, the Norwegian Barn Santa show description is wrong because they don't have the storyteller, Sigrid anymore lol. On top of Germany or Morroco never getting their storyteller back after the pandemic. I will say I was impressed with Joyful. I couldn't believe that they would still approve a seasonal show with that big of a cast of dancers, singers and musicians. I am still ed we lost Mostly Kosher after only one year. It was such a great show but it lives on at DCA. Now that is a park with a ton of Holiday shows and entertainment.

Had it been one minor attraction alongside a full roster of great Pixar attractions, it likely wouldn’t seem as bad but just a a small todo for the kiddos. Instead it’s just kinda there…in the corner…alone

Good news is it's in a "flex" building and I'm guessing that platform he's on sits on locking coaster wheels so when they're ready to build a full Carsland in a place that makes thematic sense - knowing TDO, probably AK - they should be able to wheel him right down the road to include there.

Then they can go back to trying to sell party tickets to that building. 👍

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.

To be fair, it was only supposed to be a temporary attraction according to insiders...

...But insiders were also quick to point out how long "temporary" attractions typically last. (Look at Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage) lol.

Saw FitS at 6:30 and it was super-unimpressive. No audio played where we were on a bridge off the Hub, there were not any fireworks during the countdown, only two perimeter sites were used and the perimeter sites were delayed during the finale and launched a minute after the show completed.

Total shambles.

But hey, HM broke down and we were escorted away after waiting 2 hours and Splash broke down while we were riding and we got a backstage tour.

Happy NYE eve!

Hope Epcot is better tomorrow. At least the weather is glorious.

I’m here now…frankly you were trying that stuff too early in the night. We’ve done a pretty good job of working around the ridiculous, undercapacity parks so far. But I know what battles to fight and what not to

We’ll probably watch the fireworks on the way out…but it’s just fireworks

I’ll be glad to not be in here for amateur hour with the throngs tomorrow

Yeah things were weird today. Rode space around 1 pm. Just normal space mountain. Road space again at 11pm. Lights on with Christmas music blasting.

The park was much emptied at midnight than I expected.

Maybe people just got fed up and left early.

Anyways time to rest me feet in the hot tub and get ready for Epcot tomorrow.

Honestly…anyone that didn’t go to the park tonight and is inviting that mess/nonsense tomorrow really screwed up. It was great today and will be awful tomorrow…

I'm smiling at some of you complaining about people and how dumb (implied) they are to be at WDW and how bad it is, while you are there too! :D

Don't go get all defensive, it's just funny. I'm working and I'm jealous.

I did WDW at NYE as both a CM and a Guest many times, both experiences were tons of fun and I'm glad I checked it off my bucket list but I don't anticipate ever doing it again; unless by some miracle we're able to snag a DVC room at one of the Epcot resorts lol! Have fun everyone in town, it's a special vibe!!
