News Holiday crowds at Walt Disney World theme parks 2022

Man, this place is soooooo toxic and negative. Nobody here has a silver bullet solution that will make everyone happy but TONS posting in this thread like to decry what the current administration is doing. Your lives would be much more fulfilled with a more positive hobby besides being negative on internet message boards

MK and Epcot seem OK-ish so far today.

HWS isn't pretty. But, then when is it ever.

DAK is hideous. 4 hours for FOP?!?

A case of the reservations system backfiring and them pushing too many people to DAK and away from the other parks?

Or maybe the Avatar 2 fan club has decended en masse.
I was just in the app for something else and glanced at wait times. MK is significantly lower than the others and when I checked park hours, there is a Christmas party tonight. So that explains that 😊

Going to mk for rides on the day it has an Xmas party and then park hopping to Epcot or DHS for the vibes later in the day is how to do it.

The only solution is to add more attractions and we all know that isn't coming. Having people on virtual queues is a disaster. Now people are just wandering around aimlessly waiting for their next return time.

I'm in agreement with many on this board that Disney could do more. I'm also in agreement with you that the magic is also what you put into it. Reminds me of a story the priest at my church once said. He was leaving the church after the service and heard a parishioner say, "I didn't get anything out of that" and he thought, "Well, what did you put into it, bubba?"

The grownups are discussing their view on the interplay between crowd levels, corporate policies, and guest satisfaction -- not engaging in petty personal insults. If other people's opinions bother you so much that you have to stoop to ad hominem attacks, perhaps your time is better spent perusing other topics.

Yeah we also live in a time where you're free to find religion elsewhere if your current church or pastor isn't working out for you. Going on the internet message board to complain about your pastor and the families from Seattle that still think the pastor's message is worth a listen would be the equivalent here.

Real talk: how in the hell is the Mermaid theater still closed? Put something...anything…in there for people to spend 30 min watching as part of their day! Mermaid was long in the tooth but it had a lot of showings and dealt with a lot of guests. The fact that it sits dormant while Launch Bay is underutilized in a packed park is unacceptable.

If we are going to claim it’s a lack of entertainment CMs, throw in a temporary 3D movie. Having such a large facility shuttered at the center of the park is bonkers.

Yeah that is such a swing and a miss. Set up character visits there or something similar that requires minimal dressing. Does it require a ton of training to be a character?

It's because AK has the best Christmas decorations/stuff in the WORLD! :D

I'm making the point that you're part of the equation also. You're not passive in this. It's what you put into it whether it's church or going to a theme park.

If you're going to be sanctimonious about refraining from petty personal insults maybe don't call me a child lol

And yet here you are.

I think there's a thread for sanctimonious lecturing. Just use the forum search feature to find it.

So, in light of your comments:

Why Are You Here Pop Tv GIF by Schitt's Creek's Creek

I mean, since you find these forums "soooooo toxic and negative".
I think you missed my point, literally any topic that gets discussed about Disney World can turn into a discussion about "crowd levels, corporate policies, and guest satisfaction". This discussion was obviously about crowd levels but guess what corporate policies and guest satisfaction made their way in. The next thread about balloon prices will also invite discussions about corporate policies, and guest satisfaction. The next thread about the towels Disney uses to supply their hotel room bathrooms will also involve discussions about corporate policies, and guest satisfaction.

And so on, because people want to come here and keep playing that record over and over again as if their point hadn't been made until then. It's poor discourse.

Why am I here? I'm here to talk about crowd levels and experiencing the parks when it's busy, not always looking for a deep dive into corporate policies and guest satisfaction. I am not denying that they are not related at times but I am suggesting that the points may have already been made several times and people obviously have an ax to grind by bringing the same points up again and again.

It's obvious that some come to this church to denounce their faith, not to feel the touch of Mickey.
