Banshee will be the longest inverted coaster in the world with 7 inversions. What you call basic, I call SWEET! But since you are evidently the authority, I will yield to your wisdom.

So is there a backup plan or alternative if the Hogwarts Express breaks down? Will your only option be to walk back through IOA past City Walk and enter US and walk to the back?

Since 1999 there have been two other parts of IOA and US that have been built and sold as a cohesive experience and connected with transportation??
I don't believe anyone has connected two parks before using a common themed attraction. If it goes down, which it is bound to do, a walking you will have to go.

Quickest way is under Rockits final brake run and along the Blue Man path to Hard Rock.

If it breakdown as much as FJ there will lots of folks walking between parks :)

It's still a cool ideal to connect the parks that way, a nice transition between to two.

No doubt there will be some upset guest who only want to do IOA and all of the Potter so will have to add the US ticket. I am fine with it, but I can imagine the confusion it will cause to walk in day guest. Those who research ahead of time (like most of us) will know going in, but somebody in Orlando for other parks might decide to hop over to IOA for the day without knowing. I am sure Uni will post it 1000 places and still people will not know.

Either way it looks great and we will go after the hype dies down. We hit Potter the first year it was open....never again...it was silly crowded.

Wonder if this forum would have exploded form overload had WDW did something like this :)

For some time now, a person just walking up to the ticket booths would have to have done research to know about being able to ask for a One Day, One Park Ticket as they are not a listed option.

At Uni? We spent a week there in June of 2013. We bought a one day one park ticket for my son and it was posted at the window when we did. When I bought the tickets for the rest of us online it was listed as well.

Uni's website sucks in my experience when compared to WDWs site. The Uni site is no where as intuitive as Disneys. So I can see where it might be unclear to folks who don't do the leg work that we all do.

But I think this new expansion is a game changer in ticket sales for Uni. Who is going to IOA and not doing Potter, therefore you need the two park tickets.

Thank you. With this being a integral part of the experience I guess we will never have a Hogwarts Express Effect Status Watch thread. Maintenance will have to be a top priority.

Oh do we WISH WDW did something like this....
I can't really think of anything they could do now, the parks are just too far apart. It would great if they could do something similar to Uni.

Plus the fun of watching people freak out here about the greed of WDW forcing park hoppers on people would epic

I disagree- Potter fans are just as loyal as Disney fans. After 4 years WWoHP in IOA is still CRAMMED all of the time. People still wait in line for Olivanders, butter beer, and FJ. HE isn't the ONLY new main attraction- Gringott's is going to be just as amazing if not even better. Because of proximity, a 2 park pass was inevitable and a better deal- it's not like you have to get in your car or on a bus and drive for 10-20 minutes (with stops along the way) to park hop.

and BTW- IDK if it's been posted, but will anything in WWoHP 2 open with EP access?
Just catching up...

FJ is not crammed all of the time. I walked on early evening April 4, and also walked on in the evening on November 25, the last two times we rode. I've never seen a long line for Dragon Challenge or Hippogriff on either of my visits in November 2013 or April 2014. Three Broomsticks was no wait on both of the aforementioned evenings. So the popularity of the big ride and of the land in general has waned.

Olivander's indeed does still have a line all the time, and there is, I believe, no limit on the amount of butterbeer that could be sold.
