It's so awesome to see a company pushing the envelope in the theme park business... Kinda reminds me of how another business down the road use to operate.

It's depressing, isn't it? Disney these days, and all its freaking corner-cutting (Little Mermaid ride, etc.) Sucks. And even if TDO does get ambitious, the stuff it builds breaks. The yeti, the zombie Mr. Bluebird in Splash Mountain, and now the new steampunk dragon in the new parade. Don't those people have any pride...or any shame?

Cool, thanks for the ride/cycle time clarification. So that will give this ride a capacity of 3200 per hour, that's pretty good capacity.

It seems like a good number, but it is only half that per queue (park). So about 1600 guests an hour per park. That's a decent number, but not great. Even worse, I haven't seen what they are going to do with guests for 7 minutes at a time in the loading area. That's a very long time to wait and watch a "safety video".

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to ride this thing! I'll be booking a ticket as soon as the opening date is announced. But I am very worried about capacity. If something happens at either station, both trains will need to wait because of the single track design.

7 minutes is a long time to wait, I wonder if the ride proves popular enough could they slow the existing trains down enough to add two more trains to the rotation. This would of course involve countless variables and building two more tracks.

Oh how far they've fallen since the days of rides like Pirates, Mansion, Thunder and Splash.

The zombie? Why am I confused?

You are right it's only 1600 guests per park per hour, but it's still 3200 people per hour getting to ride it. It's a pretty unique situation so it's hard to say how this will figure into wait times.

Forcing guests to buy a 2 park pass to experience the attraction is going to leave a lot of unhappy guests in the Universal Orlando resort. After paying 16 dollars for parking and roughly 100 dollars for admission, telling certain guests you can't ride the newest attraction in the park will not go over well.

Also, JK Rowling making guests go through a brick wall to enter Diagon Alley is going to get old very fast. The first time it may be cool, but on repeat visits it will become very tiresome. Not to mention the guaranteed narrow walkways in the new land.

I love Potter, but Disney is way better off buying Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar then renting Potter and having to deal with that lunatic(Rowling).

I disagree- Potter fans are just as loyal as Disney fans. After 4 years WWoHP in IOA is still CRAMMED all of the time. People still wait in line for Olivanders, butter beer, and FJ. HE isn't the ONLY new main attraction- Gringott's is going to be just as amazing if not even better. Because of proximity, a 2 park pass was inevitable and a better deal- it's not like you have to get in your car or on a bus and drive for 10-20 minutes (with stops along the way) to park hop.

and BTW- IDK if it's been posted, but will anything in WWoHP 2 open with EP access?

How's that Star Wars expansion comin' along? Oh wait...

Hogwarts Express looks pretty dang amazing. And I'm sure gets will get over it. Same way people deal with never ending price hikes from Disney (and Universal). And why would the novelty of going through a brick wall wear off? It's part of the details and theme of the land. I'm sure they designed it so it won't stop flow into and out of the area. Disney has plenty of stuff like this as well and judging by the fact people still go to the parks, it would appear these things don't become tiresome. It still amazes me you even hang out in this section. Your contempt for all things Universal hasn't ever been subtle.

Also, how about that Pixar expansion eh?
