Makes sense they have to keep the capacity high since it's actually transportation.Cool, thanks for the ride/cycle time clarification. So that will give this ride a capacity of 3200 per hour, that's pretty good capacity.

Cant wait do you think they will have a candy cart>?
The official quote is - "You may see something like that. All I can say is that it's true to the experience in the movies."
I agree - I wonder if they will have a candy trolley or booth in the station maybe while people are waiting to board.I can't see selling things from the trolley like the movie, with the length of ride there just wouldn't be time.

candy is ALWAYS a good idea- anytime any placeThat would be a good idea.
It's so awesome to see a company pushing the envelope in the theme park business... Kinda reminds me of how another business down the road use to operate.

There is supposed to be a public announcement from Universal sometime today.
Wow....that sounds like everything I hoped for, and more! I'm so glad I chose Universal this year for my Florida vacation!

It seems like a good number, but it is only half that per queue (park). So about 1600 guests an hour per park. That's a decent number, but not great. Even worse, I haven't seen what they are going to do with guests for 7 minutes at a time in the loading area. That's a very long time to wait and watch a "safety video".
Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to ride this thing! I'll be booking a ticket as soon as the opening date is announced. But I am very worried about capacity. If something happens at either station, both trains will need to wait because of the single track design.
Oh how far they've fallen since the days of rides like Pirates, Mansion, Thunder and Splash. It's depressing, isn't it? Disney these days, and all its freaking corner-cutting (Little Mermaid ride, etc.) Sucks. And even if TDO does get ambitious, the stuff it builds breaks. The yeti, the zombie Mr. Bluebird in Splash Mountain, and now the new steampunk dragon in the new parade. Don't those people have any pride...or any shame?

I disagree- Potter fans are just as loyal as Disney fans. After 4 years WWoHP in IOA is still CRAMMED all of the time. People still wait in line for Olivanders, butter beer, and FJ. HE isn't the ONLY new main attraction- Gringott's is going to be just as amazing if not even better. Because of proximity, a 2 park pass was inevitable and a better deal- it's not like you have to get in your car or on a bus and drive for 10-20 minutes (with stops along the way) to park hop.Forcing guests to buy a 2 park pass to experience the attraction is going to leave a lot of unhappy guests in the Universal Orlando resort. After paying 16 dollars for parking and roughly 100 dollars for admission, telling certain guests you can't ride the newest attraction in the park will not go over well.
Also, JK Rowling making guests go through a brick wall to enter Diagon Alley is going to get old very fast. The first time it may be cool, but on repeat visits it will become very tiresome. Not to mention the guaranteed narrow walkways in the new land.
I love Potter, but Disney is way better off buying Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar then renting Potter and having to deal with that lunatic(Rowling).
I'm old enough to remember Disney rapidly expanding. MGM opened in just over 3 years.
One of those attractions was an amazing look at movie magic taking over 3 hours. With just over 3 attractions.![]()
