HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Only point when i was bemused was the pitful 20 second coaster over at Frozen, what on earth was that about? They need to mothball that as it's giving such a bad vibe.
It’s not supposed to be some show stopping spectacular coaster, it’s a supporting ride to FEA and functions more as a barnstormer kind of coaster for small children. We should be grateful that Disney did such a good job theming a kiddie coaster instead of just putting it there like barnstormer or gadgets go coaster.

It’s also worth noting that originally that ride was wandering oaks dancing sleighs not sliding sleighs which was basically just a slightly rethemed luigis rockin roadsters

The coaster is infinitely better than that plan and makes the land more balanced than Tokyo’s frozen land which leans far too heavily on Anna and Elsa’s frozen journey

Utter nonsense.

Any sort of coaster in Frozen Land was not going to get the vibe of a 'barnstormer' filler pass coaster. It was going to be a major attraction (even if they did not intend it to be - they still used it in promos). The attraction could easily have been enhanced with a little more length, but the cost cutting at a vital stage is moronic. I've never known a coaster that short, and literally everyone coming off it bemused.

And since when do Disney get a pass pass for 'time pass filler coasters'? No one likes 'Barnstormer' - and the guise it's for 'kids' is a disgraceful excuse.

Is there a time frame for the new parade?
HKDL is not the best at announcing events in advance. My guess would be during the 20th Anniversary celebration, probably starting in the summer. Since Disneyland’s 70th celebration is starting 2 months and 1 day before its birthday in May, HK’s 20th could do the same and start on July 11 in theory. But I’m just guessing, international parks tend to do their own thing so I am hopeful that the celebration starts earlier, maybe directly after Duffy and Friends Play Day.

Lol frozen coaster was always known as a short coaster everyone knew it was a short barnstormer coaster but with much better theming to fit into the land. Also the rockwork hides the showbuilding for the meetngreet. All n all a great 2nd ride for a land with a clear headlining attraction

I would take a 40 second coaster over a flat spinner ride, which was the original plan, any day.
The coaster gives great kinetic energy making the land feel alive. I’ve been on it and while it’s not thrilling in any way, it gives fantastic views of the land. This coaster is essentially what created the interactive Playhouse show as it hides the show building. Without this coaster, that show would’ve been a simple meet and greet inside a room in the “mountains” behind Tick Tock toys. If you see the concept art for the meet and greet for Paris, you would see that the children were Asian, meaning that was the original plan for HK.

I'll be sure to tell my kids that their memories of having fun on Barnstormer are wrong because Donnie sez they didn't have fun.

Do you believe what you're shoveling, or are you ignorant and nose-blind to the horse manure you post?

Talking about the future, do you think Stitch Encounter could come back? Or could it be replaced with something else? If I'm not wrong, that space has been closed for a while now. With the anniversary of the park and the new Stitch movie coming soon, it could be a good time for reopening it.

Classic disney defence for any horrific attractions ... "it's for kids"

Give me a break.
Okay answer me this, what did you want done with this space? Let’s say you could tap into the 5 billion HKD that’s still left in the expansion budget what would you put there. The plot is limited in its size (as the central non moveable cast areas are behind it) and the original plan was a D ticket spinner ride from DCA

Like yes the coaster is a thoroughly c ticket painfully short experience but what do you want there given the lands constraints

but the cost cutting at a vital stage is moronic.

Small correction (and I don’t think you are actually that wrong overall)… this attraction was not the result of a cost cut, but actually was an addition. The overall budget was agreed upon upfront between LEGCO and Disney and they actually shifted money to the project to replace the proposed Luigi’s ride (Oaken Sliding Sleighs) and turn it into the kiddie coaster.

It’s not the Seven Dwarves situation this go round. To your point that they should have gone back to approve a bigger budget with the government, I’m in agreement with.
