I think this a solid plan I’m expecting a spider man tower drop type attraction. I also think expanding grizzly gulch is a good idea as the current expansion pad in that area is to small for a immersive land. If I’m not mistaken there’s only 3-3.5 acre available in the area as the pavilion takes up the space. The pavilion I think is collected in a nice space especially during the Halloween thing as the trees and everything makes the space feel spookier. I wonder where they could even move the pavilion if needed ?

The pavilion could be moved to either the plot behind space mountain or into the Toy Story plot in the short term future

From what I can gather the pavilion isn’t being moved because they don’t have the money to make a full 7 hectare land in the full pad if they are also going to build the third stark expo attraction, not because they actually want to keep the pavilion itself, upper management appears to be indifferent about the existence of the pavilion

HKDL could use an an expansive and immersive land so I'm actually for expanding Grizzly Gulch. If what you're hearing is true, I hope the two rides are HK exclusive. This resort needs more original offerings.

I know they were limited in budget but it’s frustrating that grizzly gulch is so small

The land is already about 2.7 hectares, if they added a 3-3.5 hectare land that will make it the largest land by size (about 0.5-1 hectare larger than arendelle)

But I agree they need more unique offerings (right now it really only has 4, 2 e, 1 d and 1 c/d), doubling the size of grizzly with a new e ticket would do wonders for finally scrubbing the old problems if the original park

I think a western themed log flume ride would go down well with locals since it was a favourite at ocean park before it was shut. I’m not sure a Shanghai style pirates ride would be the best option. I think a classic log ride with some modern tech makes the most sense or even a rapids like Shanghai with a nice drop.

I don't think geyser mountain would come instead im assuming a Spiderman drop tower and a log flume or rapids style ride. Let's see I can't think of any other e ticket style ride that would work in the space of autopia.

The only reason I’m hesitant to say it’s a log flume rather than a dark ride (boat or no) is that if the pavilion is not removed then the expansion space they have to work with isn’t enormous especially if they want to expand grizzly gulch as a themed area as well

Though new park centrepiece was the language used so I have to assume it’s at least an e ticket

I'm still not convinced a drop tower is an option. The ride system is doesn't fit with the philosophy of Magic Kingdom style parks. That's unless it's well camouflaged like the proposed Discovery Mountain which had a JttCoE drop tower inside it.

A log flume similar in size to SM fits easily in the expansion space. The Pavillion will be in the way of more theming and actual land expansion, but it's definitely doable.

I don’t really feel like castle parks have a unifying theme as to what does and doesn’t fit in them since Shanghai broke pretty much all of the castle park conventions and the two stateside parks built galaxy’s edge

Hmmm splash mountain could work but I wouldn’t really call splash (even with modern tech) a park headliner but maybe they were just referring to another e ticket

I agree it's difficult to see a splash mountain as a park headliner. Look discussing all this Disney could have something completely unique but I see almost nothing unique coming from Disney today that isn't a IP ride. I don't see what will be a IP ride in grizzly gulch as the area has its own story. When was the last time Disney spent big on a non ip land/e ticket ride?

The last non IP expansions to any of the parks were Shanghai and HK’s outer lands

In progress expansions
TDS- frozen tangled and Peter Pan
HDKL- frozen and marvel
SDL- zootopia
EPCOT- Moana
WDS- marvel and frozen

Previous expansions
TDL- beauty and the beast
MK- tron
DLR- runaway railway
DLR- galaxy’s edge
EPCOT- GOG and ratatouille
DCA- avengers campus
DHS- galaxy’s edge and Toy Story
SDL- Toy Story
DAK- avatar
WDS- Toy Story and ratatouille

So yeah the last completely non IP based e ticket was roaring rapids if you count it as an e ticket
, if not it would be soarin, if you skip repeats then it would be mystic manor

Shanghai only slightly deviated from the formula. And when it comes to it, ToT is the only notable ride system to not be in a castle park, and the reason is probably because it competes with the weenie, which you guessed it...is the castle.
