This is beautiful 😍

I'm wondering how did this section got approved by WDI considering how starkly different it is compared to the other sections. It reminds me of the Pelęs Castle in Romania with the exposed wooden beams:

I honestly wished they could have gone with this route for the new castle, but oh well.

Beauty only applies to the Frozen tower😂
The central part is horrendous. Right now the backside centrepiece stained glass window is dwarved by a large boxy volume. It'd be very interesting had they made something like the Marienplatz clock tower in Munich.

Maybe for the plussing of the castle in a future refurbishment? I think it was deliberately left bare (without any patterns whatsoever) for some reason...

If they’re not putting a walkthrough in that large boxy volume I will be so mad
Or at least a meet-and-greet. There's so much space in it now, in addition to the original space from the old castle. I remember Tom Morris (Executive Show Producer for HKDL) said it was deliberately left empty until they could figure out what to do with it based on the general guest wants and needs. I'm leaning towards meet-and-greet so that either Fairy Tale Forest, Fantasy Gardens, or both could be repurposed for new attractions (that aren't Frozen!).

Ironically, the way they did the Frozen Turret in reality is way better than that shown in the model
But at the same time they totally ruined the central part

According to HKMSG, there will be a new shop in the Frozen turret...
Not sure if the new castle can hold so many things...
I guess it’ll be an Arribas Brothers boutique which wouldn’t take up a lot of space.

We’ve seen their ability to convert small spaces into something interesting ($ generating), e.g. MSUSA silhouette studio->ice cream shop, Adventureland landscape->Moana theatre which will be doing dinner shows this fall.

I wonder if the interior will be dressing rooms/cast facilities for the new castle stage.
I always thought that these two wings were built as cast/changing facilities which meant they could keep the central entrance to the castle open rather than close it before every show. They look like they were designed to look like courtyards with trees in them from eye level.

Mmmm not so sure about these, they look like closed vending locations, like an abandoned hot dog or popcorn booth. perhaps Disney should have incorporated some vending or retail space as well to hide the structures purpose better?
They look like they belong in Shanghai rather than Hong Kong.

Actually, it belonged to Paris first. When Disney Dreams! premiered in 2012, a control booth with a similar design appeared on the west side of the Central Plaza. Both structures feature similar roofs (and grillwork) but for Hong Kong, the walls were redesigned to feature garden stonework. Paris definitely got a better paint job than Hong Kong's, and a more discreet one at that.

It's also bizarre that Hong Kong required two booths whereas Paris only needed one. I know it's for the projectors (as previously posted), but couldn't they have gone for the traditional freestanding projection towers that Anaheim uses (not sure about Florida and Tokyo's extended turrets if they function as projection towers as well)? I imagine there would be room for such a tower at least on the sides of the new (terraced?) seating area.

interesting it looks like it fits even less well in DLP! Would be a better fit for Paris itself with that roof, or maybe New Orleans square

Backside of the Castle. Can't wait to walk through here. Looks very nice imo.

I also really love this CMD plaque in from of the castle.

Most of the trees around the new viewing area have twinkle lights.

I love it! Looks really nice imo. Can't wait to see what the castle will look like lit up at night. Also can't wait for the new nighttime fireworks show.
