HISTK play area and Backlot Tour

Ok, what I did was not capitlize my I's and use '. I didnt get all into spelling all the words with slang. And it has been proven that as long as the first and last letter word are in place, you should be able to read it.

Um...can we just let it all go, seriously! From now on he will make sure to spell pixar correctly...damn I just messed up! I spelled it pixar instead of Pixar....or is it PIXAR....um which key do I use to make the little white lamp symbol to replace the "I" with it??:lookaroun Sorry I had to joke about it

MK has a host of attractions in dire need of some TLC and hasn't had an E-Ticket ride since 1992. While some of these rides are being refurbished now (HM, IASW), if all the money is going towards DHS, MK will have nothing new to do and a host of battered rides, with a long-term effect of decreasing attendance. The same is true of Epcot and AK to a lesser degree.

Which attractions do you believe need "in dire need of some TLC" and when you say hasn't had an E-ticket ride since 1992...do you use the defention of an E-ticket as in the olden days or in some people's terms of that it's a thrill ride?? Sorry I just have to ask...because in the past few years they just updated Pirates, Small World (as you mentioned), HM, a small and good refurb of Splash and thunder (which is alot nicer looking) other than Space Mountain and possibly the Jungle Cruise what other major popular attraction is in dire need. Perhaps small attractions like snow white need to be fix or removed. Maybe a fixer upper on Country Bears, the Tomorrowland Speedway, and remove sitch or change the plot line. But other than that the big attractions that I mention way above are all ride-able.
And Epcot just like the same with MK everything is still ride-able (am I even spelling that correctly sorry...:lookaroun::looks for the grammer/spelling police:::lookaroun haha) they too are slowly getting fixer uppers. But besides LMA DHS has not gotten anything really big since the year of 100 years of magic! Wooo we got an amazing icon that everyone loves...cough cough...to buy pins from (haha sorry I had to say that).
This might solve the problem that many people complain about that DHS is a half-day park. Which I personally can fill my whole day there...but that just me. If it didn't get the attention that its getting now...people would still be calling it a half-day park and I really think DHS needs this. MK and EPCOT both have there special little hard ticket events or festivals...DHS has nothing...I think MK and EPCOT are doing fine, and they are still slowly updating stuff at those areas too.

Sorry somewhere I lost the point of my conversation. The Point is....thank god they are doing something at DHS...and that MK and EPCOT can just wait a while to get major upgrades, I still go there...and see the attractions that everyone believes needs dire attention to it. But thats me!! The misspelling freak with grammer issues! :D

I'm talking about a new ride altogether, not refurbishments. And even going by the old-fashioned type of E-Ticket, my point stands. Philharmagic, Stitch, MLF, Buzz, Enchanted Tiki Room: UNM and Pooh are definitely not E-Tickets, or even D-Tickets.

very true... this what I found on the net : E Ticket (or E ticket ride) has referred to an unusually thrilling, interesting, most-interesting, or most-expensive situation. Which the above attractions for some would not fall under that area. But my idea of an E-ticket is that it has everything in it from AAs, new technology, don't really care what the speed is, that I can re-ride it as many times and never get bored of it. Yet the above attractions or at least some of them are very entertaining and I enjoy...but again thats me...and to get upset that one part who hasn't gotten any attention for such a long time in attractions. To me MK feels like it is complete all around..were there are pockets of areas of DHS that just seem empty...it is also the size difference but I think the really thing tha management sees...hey we can fill up MK people still love to come here...but its less crowded over at DHS..lets share the love over there. But again just my opinion.

I will leave off with a final thought. When I was a kid and just a plain AP holder people would always say why do you always go to WDW there seems to be nothing new or they would say ..I'm not going there until they do something new. I would say to them... everytime we go we do something different and new or we see something different and new ..and each experince is different! But thats me...I don't need to have a new attraction each month to make me want to go... because all those new attractions I will barely get to go on...because they are labeled as "new".

It has also been proven that although you can manage to read words that are misspelled, it's not very easy to do so.

But as a piece of advice, when you write with poor grammar or spelling, you are essentially helping people to form a poor opinion of you. A lot of times, people ignore posts like yours. If it's not worth your time to prepare a properly-written post, then it's certainly not worth my time to read it. That's why the forums have an "ignore" list: so I don't waste my time.

Very true, the problem is..one like me who wants to be the quickest one in a response or to say my point and get back to work or HW I have poor grammer and spelling. Which is very bad of me and I should take time..but sometimes in the excitement of posting I miss words :(

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I think HISTK is in no need of a refurbishment. It may be outdated, but it's still an incredibly popular place for mom and dad to let the kids run around while they take a breather. I do admit, though, that a retheming could be fun. As for the Tour, it NEEDS something. SOON. I love that ride and it used to be the most popular thing in all of MGM (when it was MGM). Now it just needs some major TLC.

I love A Bug's Life. I don't think alot of kids can relate to HISHK. Bug's life is not a big part of three of the parks. DL's Bug's life is a cute little area.

I think HISTK's popularity is a result of necessity - it's the only option. It could be an unthemed playground and be just as popular. Though, with Disney's number crunching I'd be surprised if it is rethemed.

The Backlot Tour has been on borrowed time since Lights, Motor, Action took over a large portion of its space. Once they have the concept, budget and approval for its removal I'm thinking it's gone.

If someones going to form an opinion of someone for grammer mistakes then there an idiot. Belive me, i TALK with good grammer just when im typing i make spelling errors, so you are basically judging someone on how they type.

The similarities between Disneyland's Bugs Life area and HISTK Play place at DHS are numerous... Almost as if there a template is already in place to overlay a tired area... :animwink:

The Backlot Tour has two current fates on the table that have been undecided as of right now. The first is a scenario in which the ride will receive minor scene upgrades and a few new effects to extend its life for 5-7 more years. What would happen after that is where the second possibility comes into play. Scenario 2 sees the Backlot Tour closing its doors forever with the space it occupies being annexed and reutilized for future attraction space.

Scenario two will eventually happen--it is just a question of when. If option one is greenlit (which I'm betting it will be), then we will see the Backlot Tour remain until Star Tours 2, American Idol and phase two of Pixar Place's development are all complete.

If someones going to form an opinion of someone for grammer mistakes then there an idiot. Belive me, i TALK with good grammer just when im typing i make spelling errors, so you are basically judging someone on how they type.

Welcome to the world of an internet forum. People can only form opinions on you based on how you present yourself in your attitude, text and effort put into your posts. Admitting that you don't care enough to take the time to fix your posts, knowing you are prone to use poor grammar and spelling doesn't help your case. Frankly, I think most of us here don't have a problem with your grammar as much as we do your lack of periods, capitalization and sentence structure.

Your posts resemble those of a pre-teen's texts sent in a hurry (and no, age is not an excuse here--trust me on that one). Remember that those of us that have even brought up your posting problems have done so to make a point (and were brought up with the best intentions--at least in the attempt to prevent you from being the target that you seem to have become). Calling us idiots for introducing you to proper forum etiquette doesn't help either. I know how I talk, but I don't know about iTalk... What does that mean? IDK... Ask my BFF Jason? (The joke is just meant to support my point further.)

Please take the time to realize that we haven't attacked you in any way, nor have we took you out back and verbally abused you. All of our comments could (and should) be taken as constructive criticism... Before you go back on the offensive, take a deep breath and re-read our comments...

Real world example, it will be pertinent for you in probably 6-7 years:
When you send your resume to apply for a job, the person reading your resume only has what you type...they have no choice except to judge you on how you type.

And thanks for calling us idiots. That helps our opinion of you lots.

Come on, Adam, iTALK is the next new thing from Apple. It's like an iPhone, without the phone. Surely you got that bit of inside info from the last annual report.

I think HISTK's popularity is a result of necessity - it's the only option. It could be an unthemed playground and be just as popular.

Now back to the topic at hand, my daughter likes the HISTK playground, and I agree with JWG - it could be completely unthemed and she would like it. She in no way can relate to the theme at all, but that doesn't make a bit of difference to her.

Did i say: You are an idiot? I said judging someone by the way they type that makes you an idiot, and my resume is a different story, thats important, an online forum? Hell No!

Oh my god...stop with the complaining about grammar everyone. I think wdwmagic should open up a new board saying if you want to complain and cry about peoples grammar then take it to the specific board.

But back on topic...my point exactly about the HISTK Playground is geared towards children and not many children know what HISTK is, but alot of kids know what A Bug's Life is (Given it wasn't really a great movie and it ranks on my list as the work of the Pixar movies.) But with it going there it would give it a great expansion of Pixar Place.

It's amazing what recruiters and hiring managers are able to find out about you on the internet. What you do online might be more important than you think.

I think it would be great if we had a board for cross-posting examples of poor grammar and spelling. We could have our fun over there without cluttering up threads like these!

And I do think re-theming HISTK to Bug's Life would be a great way to fit it into the theme of Pixar Place. But it's not often that Disney spends money to refurbish something solely for the purpose of consistency of theme.

I thought the exact same thing. Maybe even find a way to expand the play area and put in some bugs life ride. Nothing too elaborate. Just something to please the kids.

Thank you!!

And to be on topic, like you and other people said, kids love it, but only because its the only thing to do.

Hmm. i think when you say I'm the sound you make is Im, so if i dont add an ', you should still be able to at least sound it out, you should be able to read any word with ' if it doesnt have one and it should, just sound it out!

Example

Im confused i dont know what to do. The teacher didnt tell me.

I'm confused i don't know what to do. The teacher did'nt tell me.

They read the same to me.

And only you sir.....
