Hint at a Tron presence in the parks

Maybe in the Wonders of Life pavilion? Which I heard a rumor supposedly that Microsoft was interested in sponsoring. I think Tron and Microsoft blend in quite well yet again what does technology and video games have to do with the Wonders of Life? Who knows maybe they'll just rename the whole thing to the Modern/Future Technology Pavilion.

but it ISN'T the Wonders of Life pavilion anymore and hasn't been for a while.

I think they could do a lot with an enclosed dome to re-create a world of TRON...and make the outside of it all neon and high tech...

Also, Tomorrowland Speedway...now that's a more unique idea...but I think it would have to be enclosed to really make it worthwhile.

it may be true that not everyone knows about or remembers Tron, but if it is done right, it would pack them in wherever it might be built. If the next movie is a hit, all the better, but an interesting and well thought out attraction could fill up that unused dome in FW.

Take Soarin' as an example - how often is the line less than a 60 min. wait?

We'll see what happens after The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.

No, we'll wait to see what happens after Tron Legacy. And then retheme it anyways. TRON + STUDIOS + 80'S MACHINES + AWESOME NEW MODERN MACHINES + PIZZA + AWESOME TRON GIFT SHOP NOW PLEASE

Not Flynn's, but TRON Arcade; Communicore South West, where Club Cool and the 25th exhibit are. Never happened, used for temporary exhibits until 1988 when Expo Robotics opened (they finally felt they needed something in there)

I did not know that.

And I was better off not knowing.

Because that would have been so good...

(And I have to say: What was up with the era of Disney World putting up Coming Soon signs of attractions they would never build? I mean, build it if yer' gonna'...)

Hopefully both Tron and Muppets both do well for expanded representation in the parks.:dazzle:

Way to be diplomatic...

I'm serious. I worry about both movies. Less so about Tron because they're marketing the heck out of it, but it's still a sequel to a pretty obscure movie to the masses, but I feel like the Muppets still aren't ready for the jump to the big screen.

Still, I'm gonna see both. Hopefully Tron comes to my local true IMAX.

Hey, nobody loves Muppets more than me, but Muppetvision is already the best. And it'd take ALOT more work to make Muppet Studios. You'd have to start from scratch. There's already a perfect Muppet attraction, and Flynn's Arcade with VERY LITTLE WORK can go right into Pizza Planet! (Which isn't going anywhere, it's really highly rated and gets lots of cash.)

So keep Pizza Planet open, retheme it bit by bit into Tron, BOOM. Flynn's Arcade. Restaurant. Shop. 80's Arcade. New Arcade machines. Tron Gift Shop. Neon signage. Fits the area. Muppets in 10 years, or Tron now? Vote for Tron NOW people!

You KNOW it's so easy I can just TASTE it actually getting built. I never see the full Gonzo's Pizzaria ever happening. So put your money on a quick fix!

I mean, come on! Can't you just see the neon "Flynn's Arcade" on the Pizza Planet building? "HOME OF TRON" glowing on the outside at night?

Just Muppets is great.

But Muppets AND Tron at Studios is better than just more Muppets!

Together, Studios can rule the WORLD! Muhahahahahahahahahaaaa!

Personally I'd rather see Tron move into Tomorrowland. Since basically everything in MK has to be a franchise tie in, I'd rather have one that will appeal to those over 10.

Again, that'd take more work.

Shhh with this! I'm appealing to Disney's basic sense of cheapness for once to get my way!

I liked the original Tron movie. Everyone is putting the idea of the Flynns arcade out there put what about the Light cycles? Man what an attraction that would be. UM, maybe a Tron light cycle style ride for the people mover in Disneyland. I love the TTA (well maybe not the new narration) so maybe put it in the WOL building at EPCOT?

Most anything in place of SGE. Not overly fond of MI laugh floor its OK but it could go too. (Bring back Timekeeper! Wonder what happened to all the skyway buckets and timekeeper stuff that was in the old TL skyway building?)

Lots of stuff from the orig Tron and from the new one could be a "Great big beautiful Tomorrow" for TL (couldn't resist a COP plug)

As for the 'Tron-o-rail,' I'm somewhat dubious about, even though it sounds like it could look awesome. First, I have it on good authority that they weren't going to do anymore decals on the body of the trains because the previous ones damaged the paint job too much.
#12 could roll out around the right time to tie-in with the movie. It will obviously need a paint job anyway so there would be no harm done if it spends the first few months of service with a Tron wrap. :lookaroun
