So I'm not posting to gripe, only to say that Thank God above............my daughter will graduate from the most hellish high school on the face of the earth tomorrow. For those of you who may remember all the bullying she endured as a cheerleader from other cheerleaders during her freshman year (Lisa a/k/a Wicked Queen knows this story well) it is offically over!!!:sohappy:

Anyway, to all those graduating : CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheerleaders are wicked, evil beings. I say this as a former high school and college cheerleader. Even in college, the drama was ridiculous.

I just graduated as well...but it was from College. Scary to think how I feel like I graduated from High School yesterday. Best of luck to all the grads and their future plans.

PS - my daughter will be on the college cheerleading competition team.

Wow! That's a great accomplishment for a freshman to make a college cheerleading competition team; good for her! I wish her the best of luck! Just make sure she keeps in mind that the cheerleading drama doesn't end in high school; it'll still be there in college, just hopefully not as bad. I was co-captain of my college cheerleading team and sometimes I just wanted to pull my hair out over the nonsense that went on. Hopefully your daughter's college will have a much more structured program and a no-nonsense coach or advisor.

She quit cheering for the high school after her freshman year and joined a competition team at Pro Cheer. There was of course some drama, but nothing like the nonsense that went on at the high school. Big difference, maybe it's cause you pay so much money to be on those teams that the coaches don't put up with too much crap.

Here's hoping that older/mature girls at college won't act like high schoolers.

I'm very sorry your daughter had a terrible HS experience. I teach HS and know how tough some kids can make it on others for no reason at all. As I say to my students, high school is NOT the best time of your life so keep moving forward (subtle Meet the Robinsons tribute).

Congratulations to all high school graduates! You have endured (quite likely) the worst four years of your life. Time for a complete 180, as college is typically the best years of your life.

To all those entering high school (as my oldest son is), I wish you all good luck and godspeed. Don't trust your peers for ... anything. Watch your back. Nothing that happens is the end of the world. Don't become cocky when you've experienced no consequences after doing something stupid. It will catch up with you sooner or later. Try to squeak out some enjoyment or pride of accomplishment ... just don't let anyone actually see your joy or pride.
