Rhode's baby is AK no matter what he is in charge of or how high he goes in the company he will always watch out for AK. Or at least that is my feeling on it anyway. As for him overseeing marvel for all we know he is a comic book junkie and this is a project he had been wanting to go spear head. I feel like Disney is letting creative groups run wild with their IP and putting people in charge that know how to protect and develope qulaity material from each IP. STAR WARS has kennedy, Pixar has Laseter and now Marvel has Rhode. Marvel and pixar have shown in the movies what this type of structure can produce time after time, maybe now we will see it play out in the parks? On a final note I belive part of the bord meeting last week was some cash approved for DL, rumors point to Marvel now we have an Immaginerin division for Marvel hard to not belive it is a coincidence.... just my 2 cents

Way to take the proverbial wind out of my sarcastic post's sails.

Though I agree with you. And thus it would foreclose any opportunity to bring many (if any) of the upcoming Marvel films into WDW parks (Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Capt Marvel). I guess the Inhumans might fall under the same category as GotG, but that's a long way out (11/6/2018).
Sorry about that. As much as I would like to see Marvel in WDW I think we shall have to set our gaze west for our super hero experience (unless Disney is smart and includes an Incredibles experience in the DHS reboot).

I havent heard the details of whatever "Pixar" means when it comes to DHS' makeover.

I'm hopeful they'd use The Incredibles over rehashed TSPL.

Why not both?

It seems likely that additional Toy Story stuff and Cars will come to DHS. I think that's fine. But there needs to be other properties included as well IMHO -- The Incredibles, Monsters Inc. and Ratatouille seem the best options to me (and I guess retheming HISTK to Bug's Life).

I'm very, very glad to see that Joe and Bob will both be sticking around WDI. I was a little worried for both of them.

That said, I wonder if Marvel is the best use of Joe's talents. Joe seems to excel (and is probably even the best in the business) at design which is culturally accurate and deeply rooted in regional traditions. Marvel, by contrast, tends to stick to its own worlds and is 99% fictional.

Still though, whatever keeps the two around.

I'd be interested to see what Rhode can do with Marvel. Its exciting.
