How long do I have to keep gazing? The sun is setting and my eyeballs are starting to burn.
Until your eyes look like this.

Thrilled that Rhode is still being kept. Bored that it's for Marvel. Rhode deserves to be doing original and cultural things.

He has spent the last 20 years doing original and culture things now I want something fun from him like his early work from WDI like Pinnichio's Daring Journey, etc.

I'm not sure he worked on that ride in any significant capacity. His first project was the Mexico pavilion and El Rio del Tiempo under the wing of Herbie Ryman

It's been awhile but I'm pretty sure he was part of the art team (art director?) on Pinocchio. He's even credited to some concept art in one of my imagineering books

Marvel isn't coming to DAK. Very likely it isn't coming anywhere near WDW because very little can be used there (please, no more inane discussions on what Disney can do because it can do almost nothing in FL due to UNI's etched in stone contractual rights).

Much like Scott Trowbridge is working on Star Wars projects for Disney parks around the globe. Rohde will do likewise with Marvel. And it is 100% positively coming to DLR and DLP near term.
Hopefully to DCA, where it would make the most sense. Kinda. Sorta. Whatever. Just keep it out of Disneyland.

It's fantastic news if there aren't any strings attached. My one hope is that this is actually a legitimate move to give them more power with their creative talent. Not just some veiled attempt to take power away from them or even set them up as fall guys. Spirit said that Rohde in particular may not be around at the company for much longer after Avatar, I hope he's wrong in this rare instance. It's not exactly uncommon in the corporate world for high level execs to put lesser employees in strategic positions of power and/or influence, later used as scapegoats to take the blame for problems higher level executives caused. I don't wish this to be the case here...

I'm more aware of what Joe Rohde has worked on than the others. Could someone tell me what attractions Bob Weis and Scott Trowbridge have been involved with? Sounds like they're pretty respected and liked by people on these forums and i'd be interested to know what sort of things they've had a hand for an idea of what to expect from them.

Bob was a lead on the redo of DCA and was part of the concept team for TDS, and he was one of the heads of the team that built DHS way back when. He was on ToT/Sunset Blvd, BV Street and Carsland. On the other hand, he also was on Mermaid and - outside of Disney - The CSI Experience. He's a very good designer, and he's one of the old guard from WDI. The past 4 years, he's been working mostly on Asia projects, most notably Shanghai. Scott was one of the leads on Islands of Adventure, and specifically responsible for Spider-man. He then took a position with WDI heading up their R&D division, which is where things like the Lumiere AA came out of. He's been on Star Wars for a while now, as well as holding responsibility for the Disneyland resort for WDI.
