The guy posted it on his myspace page, and the poster simply linked to it. It's not like he stole the picture or is hotlinking it. I could see a problem if that was the case, but it's on the guy's site! General rule on the internet: If you don't want people viewing it, don't put it on there in the first place!

It's called common courtesy.

Oh yea. But I was talking about like the afternoon line up of DC which is where KP is from. Now the playhouse disney stuff, IMO it fits more because alot of the real young kids can relate.

and i think disney is puttin out these characters cuz the older kids are havin trbl relating to the parks.. this way all the age groups are satisfied... the young ones get the playhouse disney, the tweens get their KP and power rangers... its a balancing act... i cant think of any other cartoon on disney channel that would be as popular and recognized as KP, so it makes sense for this wave of tween entertainment to be from there... really, lilo and stitch are already represented, brandy n whiskers- buz on maggie - n jake long havent been around long enough and dont show the same following or acclaim as kim possible does... im sure that maybe dave the barbarian and proud family could show up someday if enough ppl ask for them (thats how KP finally showed up by the way!)... and they honestly cant put out characters from live action comedies...

No, it's called common sense. It's a public site, you don't even have to register to see the picture on the main page. If the guy didn't/doesn't want people viewing the picture, it shouldn't be on a publicly viewable page. If someone were to save the picture and distribute it without the guy's permission, that's a totally different story. I don't understand why you're all up in arms over a silly link

PLEASE READ:
I have taken the pictures down in the original post since some people have decided to criticize rather than praise my friend who was Ron Stoppable in the pictures. Apparently he has gotten criticized personally for having "Bad Show" for not having blonde hair, and honestly to those people, it wasn't his choice to be put out w/o blonde hair, it was the company's. So now, congrats to those who have seen the pics, and sorry to those who won't because of other people's actions. I feel bad because I was doing this so that people could see a preview of what is to come, and my friend who is in the picture loves what he does and you can see it in his face.

Hey Kat,
I'm sorry everyone acted the way that they did. I really liked the pics and even showed some of my friends at work the pictures. I was sitting at the bar watching KP on DC and a couple of my friends asked me if they have KP characters at WDW. LOL, Everyone comes to me for Disney questions around here. Anyways I took them up to the office and showed them your pictures. They mentioned the hair but I told them what the deal was and they liked it.

Tell your friend to keep up the great work! I can't wait to see them when I visit in November.

I second that. I also agree with you general rule on the internet- if you don't want it shown, don't put it up for people to see.

Kat- it was on myspace. ANYBODY can gain access to those kind of sites... If they don't want a picture anyone can see then they shouldn't put it on their site in the first place. No worries!

Uh, back to the characters....

Personally I'm not liking this at all. My feeling is that these shouldn't be 'face' characters at all.

Anyhoo, in all of the pics shown both characters look far too old. Kim and Ron are highschoolers, not 20somethings.

Wow...i finally searched the sight and found the pics of them on NY Street. I used to work at YouseGuys a lot (its in the background of the second pic) and I probably would have never known who that was by them just walking down the street.. As long as the kids are happy though. I've read all the posts about Ron's hair..and thats a major faux pas there- I cant believe Disney let such slip. And Kim does look Asian. I had to laugh. It really doesnt matter to me, in the end. Though Kim and Ron being characters like the Incredibles are would be tons better. Disney could so do that. Anyway, there's my thoughts...

To all who are criticizing Kim and Ron,

We take great pride in what we do. Being one of the few to be cast in these brand new roles is an honor. Remember, Casting looked at hundreds of people and they selected us.

I'll agree with you on thinking that I don't look like Kim. I don't see it. But I do love performing as her. And no, I am not asian, I am actually Pennslyvania Dutch and English. But Disney does think I look like her so what does it matter?

Anyways, keep your thoughts to yourself. I don't need to hear that there is a website saying terrible nasty things about me and a friend of mine. Why would you want to bring down anyone like that?

I hope everyone comes and supports Kim and Ron when they come out in the park again. Until then we are just saving the World.

alright... i get the point... but do u wanna apply that to ALL the face characters? Cinderella may appear 16 sometimes... shes in her 20s isnt she.... peter pan may appear a lil older at times too... should disney break labor laws to portray this accurately... its all about interaction! a talented performer can bring to life a character that is not the same age as himself... look at tom cruise.. hes in his 40s... hes playin characters much younger than him... i know, not quite the same, but its still a valid point i think... if it comes down to being soooo picky abt age and accuracy in age, then honestly, all the characters would end up as head characters... and how do u think ur daughter will feel about staring down a plastic faced princess. as i have said countless times, there is A LOT that goes into performing these roles, look is only part of it. a great deal of it is ur personality and imitation abilities...

it appears that this conversation has come full circle... from initial shock, to relative uncertainty, to eagerness to see updates, and appreciation, right back to shock and dismay... i just think some people are a little too picky... and honestly could end up spoiling things for the rest of us all... really, releasing kim and ron is not going to be a "mistake." its not going to cause negative cash flow and halt release of any future developments... but not being open to new ideas, and supporting what is given will certainly cause disney to beleive there is a lack of interest, and cease the further development of similar properties... just my opinion

I was at MGM earlier this week and saw Kim walking down the road after a appearence. At that time, i did not know they had her at the Studios, and when i saw her i knew immediately who it was supposed to be, and i don't even watch the show! I only know her image from all the products that i see around in the Disney shops and catalogs.

So i guess this is proof that she is easily recognizable, even to folks who are not as into the show as the real KP fans are! :)

A little off topic, but how cool would it be to have Dr. D and Shego? I can see Shego as a face character, but Draken has to be in full costume like most of the other characters. I am just excited that they are moving into the TV chatacters more. I mean I loved the Disney Afternoon shows but missed seeing them at the theme parks. What I would pay to have my picture taken with a Gummi Bear. I hope they make a costume for the American Dragon. That would be fun to see too. Hey he could even fit in the missing mythical land in the Animal Kingdom. What do you think?

Sorry...Dr. Drakken and Shego (his partner and fighting half) are the main villians of Kim and Ron. The American Dragon (or Jake Long) is one of Disney Channels newest animated shows. I am not sure how to post images here but go to "http://www.disney.go.com/disneychannel/index.html" to find image stills.

fuzzyelfslipper - You are appreciated!! I did not make fun of you (but admittedly I made a few respectful observations). I welcome you to these boards, but encourage you not to read anything that may involve you unless you have thick skin, because you will NEVER please everyone. I am sorry if your feelings were hurt.

We are coming to WDW in a week. We will be at MGM on Thursday, Sept. 29. All 3 of my daughters LOVE Kim Possible and can't wait to meet you. But I must warn you, my 5-year old, Ana, is OBSESSED with Kim! I pray that you are there, because meeting you is her ultimate life's goal. I'm glad you like your job, and in about 12 days - you are going to make at least one little girl's dream come true!!!

Thanks for what you do!!

First...you guys look fine...not super great, not bad either.

But...

telling people to keep their thoughts to themselves...come on now. You can not be serious, can you.

You don't need to hear about people saying "nasty" things about you???
Then maybe someone shouldn't have posted the pics and then turn around and tell you there are a bunch of mean people that have an opinion.

Welcome to the world of the internet and show business, honey. :hammer:

I just know that many kids will love meeting Kim and Ron so go with that. Don't worry about what is said about the look of the characters - there was once a thread on this forum debating the best toilets in the parks. People will offer differing opinions on literally anything.
